Would you use them to kill off a couple other Vtubers of lessor or more renown? Smear campaigns seem to be a common trope among content creators these days. Either by imperfections or some sort of karma retribution.

I mean I had an entire epifany about streaming in general. Basically I see now that streams have huge personal subjective value, and little to no objective value. They call games and anime time wasters, and yet these things do go down in culture, and can be discussed decades later. Meanwhile streams often get deleted or are lost to time, and there is more archive panic than wrestling and telenovellas. It's very hard to go through months or years of streams to catch up. And a 150 view streamer will only generate like 150 people who saw and cared about a moment that happened. You will be hard pressed to find another fan of the same vtuber who was there when X happened on a specific channel. Basically too much media, with very little value, always being produced, just to be lost to time.
That all being said, I will not only continue to watch some of my oshis, but I will eventually become one and contribute to everything I just described.
All of this just hit me because I have to get up early, 4 streams I really want to catch are happening right now, and I'm thinking to myself what actual value have I gained in the year where I traded out books/movies/tv shows/games/Anime, in favor of watching hours and hours of 100 or less view Vtubers?

there are moments of vtuber streams that might stick with you, but yeah, it's mostly stuff that's meant to only exist in the moment and not hold much meaning outside of that moment. In terms of art, I would consider a stream to be more like a jazz improvisation vs curated, edited content being more comparable to a written and composed song with replay value. A stream can be amazing and top tier, but you'll never go back to it like you will a strong song or even just a clip. There's just too much in a stream for a less than huge viewerbase to clip.
Streaming is a great way to get attention and interact with your viewers, but the content you're creating is for the most part disposable.

i really like the band king gizzard and the lizard wizard, but they have so many fucking albums. I'm old as hell and barely have the time to listen to more than a handful of new albums per year now, and they put out like 2 per month. Eventually I just stopped keeping up, even though I really like them and every album I've heard is actually really good. Sometimes when it comes to content, less is definitely more

Do people actually just not like watching video games or do they just assume you're going to start being boring when you play video games?
I feel like I don't talk any less during video games, and I actually talk about topics instead of reacting to the game (to the point where I do badly at the game) but people still leave quick as I start video games.
