If it was around, I didn't go there. I mostly sticked to /a/ and checked out /b/ only occasionally out of curiosity. Disclaimer to me being from 2004 is that while it's technically true, I still preferred old forums and IRC and spent most of my time in those places. I didn't get super into 4chan until 2006-2007 and by 2008-2009 4chan was the only thing left for me when those old communities died.
