Chumbuds, takos and teammates don't have as much tendency to SC as much as deadbeats and KFPs, which is why Kiara and Mori are at the top of EN SC boards. Gura is literally the best medium to pull in new viewers into vtubers. She literally promotes Hololive into a global scale. Because of her, Koreans start becoming Goslings, Taiwanese becomes number one fans, Ruskis drop by while drinking vodka and listening to Gura's raspustin etc. I got into Hololive cause my friend asked me to watch them, so I watched Suisei cause I was bored. Superchats and memberships are enabled after a certain number of subs and view thresholds are met, then it's up to the streamers to enable them. People enable them primarily because it makes it easier for people throw cash as opposed to have to jump through hoops to get to a third party to do it since it's all connected to your google account (which many have because, lol android).

Nijiniggers always mentioning Suisei when comparing singers shows that they really don't know much about Hololive. Suisei is great but if you polled /hlg/ or /hlgg/ you would actually see quite a bit of names brought up more than Suisei. AZKi, Sora, Towa, Kanata, Watame, Gura, and even freaking Risu are generally brought up more than Suisei. Hololive has a ton of really good singers but Nijiniggers don't care.

This is something I've been thinking about. Smart money knows of course that giving over 50% of your profits to a label whose marketing et al. nets you 100 000 000 ¥ in sales is infinitely better than giving 10% of your profits to an agency that nets you 100 000 ¥ in sales. But at this point Hololive might be at a point in its popularity where a record label couldn't really offer anything more to a chuuba, but at the same time not so big that a chuuba could leverage their status as a Hololive member to get a better deal.

There was a thread a while back where people were speculating based on something a couple of Hololive members had said that they might have a very good deal indeed with Cover when it comes to their self-commissioned original songs (Cover commissioned songs like Bloom are a different thing for obvious reasons). But I forget who said what and couldn't find it with 1 minute of searching.
