A lot of people on this website just come here to act like crabs in a bucket as far as I can tell. You can't help those people; you're just better off ignoring them, unfortunately.
Things didn't used to seem quite as mean-spirited around here until maybe ten years ago, but I guess I could also say that about the internet as a whole.
Something worth keeping in mind is that the people who need to read positive posts the most on this website are the lurkers. Even if you don't always get acknowledged for saying something positive here I can guarantee you that someone read it and appreciated it.
