Because they go into it for the wrong reasons? I reckon 50% of the chuubas you describe are in it because they expected "only fans but without makeup". Another 40% are "I'm a flatso but I want to be a busty sexpot" however their "ugly" comes from within. The last 10% are those who went into it for the right reasons but lacked a fundamental inclination (quiet game grinder who hates to talk, or can't act at all, or the wrong flavor of pon &c.). The last of those have the quietest resentment, they know they're not good at it but they have some non-zero number of fans watching. The symbiosis makes them keep going and so their hatred runs the deepest in the subconscious. That's why I watch good chuubas like picrel.

Originally vtubers streamed to audiences of 10 people and were extremely autistic and ultra niche.

Then somehow normalfags learned about them and they exploded into millions of people subbing to them and big enough money that you had drama like Sio, Hitomi Chris, Zaion etc. that threatened major corporations.

Most people getting into vtubing late in the game are doing so because they heard NERDS would give them money, so a lot of them are busted camsluts and club thots who either can't hack it anymore after 3 years of the 'vid (it's over, but a lot of them got FAT since they were SAD EATING because they couldn't go out) and think they're inherently superior to NERDS and entitled to their money.

A lot are also retarded 18yo zoomzooms and a lot of zoomers want to make FAST CASH, which is cool, but their method is usually screaming about how they deserve money right now which is not very effective.
