Why are EOP HoloEN normies already demanding a HoloEN2? Why do we need a new gen every year? The current gen isn’t even comfortable collabing with each other yet. It hasn’t even been a year since they debuted. You’re putting undue pressure on the current gen by autisticly shrieking for a new gen before the current gen is even settled in.

This. I've been enjoying NijiEN a lot more. Sure they don't have tALenT, but they are more genuine and I enjoy watching them grow. All of their collabs so far have been fantastic. No awkwardness, they all like eachother

I don't see the point of NijiEN, what you describe is found in indies vtubers to an even greater degree. And with more interaction, since the fanbase is much smaller.
The compromise for losing that proximity/interaction is usually how good/pro the talent can be (like for example how Mori Ina and Gura are high spec in their respective area) and the production value around.
2 out of the 3 NijiEN are honestly nothing special, it's fine to like them, but it could have been literally any other indie and they would have done as well if not better.
Niji feels like a middle ground between the cons of the indies and the cons of the corpos, I feel it's just a catch-all for people that want their EN indies to be corpo-approved.
