Here's an alternate and much more likely scenario. We have a fresh new employee, she's a star of a streamer. Extremely charismatic, entertaining, has great banter with chat and the content she's putting on stream, a real gem of a hire.

The new hire ends up not clicking with the rest of the company. Eventually some established members decide they dislike her and want her gone. Lots of internal backstabbing and snitching ensues.

Nijisanji now has to fire this extremely talented vtuber who they gave one of their best models to because they were so confident of her ability to grow the brand. But how to do it? The vtubing landscape is shrinking and multiple small corpos are hiring better talents than they can assemble and are just waiting for one lucky break to topple Nijisanji from its position in the market.

Seeing the threat Zaion poses as a small corpo hire they decide to publish a manifesto designed to whip their drone fans on Twitter into digging through her streams to cancel her. At the end of that they compile everything found and use that as ammunition to smear her so no competitor will want to hire her and potentially become a threat.

We are here, in the midst a war of disinformation from the company designed to bury Zaion for good is underway.
