I wasn't a huge fan of it at first but it's really grown on me. The custom video they made for it during Bloom was incredibly well done and her choreography was ace as usual. I'm really looking forward to the bluray to get better caps of it.

I learned most of my jp literally through Matsuri. Hearing hours of speech daily and looking up words every now and then and learning to read by seeing what chat had to say. When I started watching holos I had casually studied for a year and was a pretty trash n5 but after spending a couple of years with Matsuri I'm around N1-N2. Basically Matsuri and matsurisu taught me japanese. Pretty epic.

Anyways, normally not having a schedule isn't a problem though, as long as Festival tweets a few hours before streams, but there have been more delays, game changes and planned frames that never get made during the past month alone than probably the whole rest of the year. According to my memory at least, I never remember thinking "wow there's been a lot of delays lately" before, it started around CR Cup 5 and it's been VERY unstable since then when it comes to streams happening.

I'm all for taking it easy but there comes a point where it starts feeling too random. It becomes hard to catch streams because half of them feel like they happen on a whim. As I've said before, I don't mind the occasional delay at all, as she's always had her share of those but lately they have been much more frequent than in a long time. Oh yeah and when I think about it, on a personal level, feeling bad about delays feels worse now than usually just because of the fact that solo streams are gonna gonna be rip for the next week. I guess that's why. I won't skip tournament week though, as I do find it entertaining, but I'll always prefer the normal content. So I guess I just want to get my fill of the regular content before it's gone a for a while again. 2 tournaments in a month has taken a lot out of solo streams and any plans she's had. When was the last time matsuri had an impromptu collab with fellow holo's? Most of them has been with non holo's and always apex. Its like apex is the only thing that interests her enough to just pick up and join.
Maybe if Luna starts getting serious about apex (since she asked matsuri to teach her according to matsuri iirc) she'll start jumping in more.
Tho i doubt it. Matsuri is just too much of a tryhard, constantly trying to punch well above her weight..

If we're strictly talking about impromptu collabs, then about a month or two ago iirc. One with Suisei in Apex and one with Polka and Luna in MH

I don't blame her though, since Apex is easy to just hop in mid-game to someone's party and most active Apex players in her friend group are non-holos, so that's not really her fault. Holos don't do that many impromptu collabs anyways afaik, most are scheduled beforehand. Whereas Apex streamers play like 10 hours a day and just invite random friends to keep a fullstack going throughout the day

On another note, I was trying to look up at what day scrims start, and instead I found out that apparently Chihiro is getting a lot of flak. From what I understand, she played a pretty big role in making Nijipex happen, and she "bent" the rules to allow for non-nijis to join the tournament and get completely mixed teams like her, Matsuri and Yukio. Now she's getting hate for making it possible to have many teams with pros and non-nijis and an imbalance in the skill gap of the tournament. All for just trying to make a fun tournament

It doesn't seem to be an overwhelming opinion, as even though Chihiro is getting "dislike bombed" in her newest streams, the ratio is still like 9:1. Most people support her, but there is still a fair chunk of people criticizing her for those decisions. Some are actually fair criticisms, as I read through some of the comments she got on her latest VODs. Then some are straight up antis.

I guess it's just that at the end of the day even JOP's are toxic tribalists. You don't see badly behaving people inside Hololive too much because they are a big family, and most fans do support all holos. And if there's someone they don't like, they keep quiet about it
But when you mix in different companies like Holo and Niji, there's tribalism between them. Then add to that the fact that a big chunk of Apex players HATE vtubers, as we saw in ALGS. She played 2 or 3 games extra of Apex during today's stream knowing full well that she still hasn't delivered what she already failed to deliver once. There is no way in hell that she doesn't know. Tweeting out 「はああああ?」is the fakest shit I've ever seen. You really think she just innocently spent all of her day not remembering that shit? lol. She spent her day watching streams and playing Apex, based on her tweets. There was so much free time where she could've delivered the stream, but she just didn't do that. She just didn't want to stream. Which would be fine, if she was honest about it. Playing cute like that as if you didn't realize how late it is (when your stream of the day ended at midnight too) just makes me pissed off if anything.

You know, sometimes she is honest about these things. She's had times when she's straight up tweeted that she doesn't feel like streaming, in particular if she's had a breakdown in a tournament and she says she's not in the mood. And that's fine and respectable, she's being honest. What she's doing now is just not wanting to stream, lazing around and then playing cute when you do a shit job at work.

If you want something actually sincere, how about the time she overslept like 2 hours back in the day and did a stream with a black screen for like 10 minutes just apologizing about what happened and talking about the problems that caused it. That's sincere. And that's apologizing for something that you couldn't help, people oversleep sometimes, work takes a lot of energy out of you.

Being well awake and playing videogames all day on the other hand is a thing you absolutely CAN do something about. She just chose not to. And she's not being honest about it, which is exactly the thing that makes me so disappointed with her recent actions.

Any old 「ごめんなさい…明日にします...絶対...」currently doesn't mean shit when she can just repeat the infinite amount of excuses to delay it again and again until she actually feels like doing it, or maybe just out of obligation.

The problem with being always positive and supportive about everything is that there's a risk of enabling her to continue doing that as long as she pleases, and if there's an upward trend, who knows how far she's willing to go with it thinking it's completely fine to do so.
Again, as I said earlier, I don't believe she is being sincere with her apology tweets recently. And not being sincere would mean that she's completely fine with delaying every third stream for 1-4 days in a row before delivering, or not delivering at all.

I see people talking about professionals and being a grown up, but I would argue that the problem is precisely that she isn't doing a traditional job, along with the strict schedules and responsibilities it comes with. And it seems that she lacks the structure that it comes with.

So my suggestion is that she should have 3-4 Anchor Streams in a week with the following properties.
They should be planned and announced at the beginning of the week.
Only one of these a day, otherwise its defeating the purpose imo.
The timing should generally be standard hours, so not 4 in the morning or anything.
They should be a minimum of one hour ignoring SC reading, ignoring endurance style streams or short games like that fast RPG which could both be really short, but don't make a habit of it of course.
Preferably not APEX because those come naturally anyway. Unless its a collab, but that also means that it needs to be planned ahead.
But most importantly, short of an emergency, these shouldn't be cancelled or delayed, unless she overslept but that would be a 1-2 hour delay rather than to the next day, doesn't matter if she's tired or whatever, just power through it. I mean that would be a failure of scheduling so get through it and plan better next time.

As for tournament week, she should live and breathe APEX throughout the whole week imo, I suggest waking up at like 11, play from 1-6, scrim, then play an hour or 2 after to either clear the taste of a rough scrim or celebrate a successful one.
If she wants to sing or talk, she can do that in casuals too. But anyway just focus on the tournament imo.
But if she really wants to do something else, play a game first to see if she's really burned out for the day, then schedule a guerilla 5-10 minutes beforehand.

Agreed. There's been a lot of great things happening recently. Lots of stuff to celebrate, and she did a great job at From 1st as well. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for and what's been bugging me lately. And don't get me wrong, today's collabs might've been cute and entertaining, but as far as I'm concerned this is still the equivalent of spitting in the face of her viewers. It's easy and 0 effort to accept an abrupt invite to a casual collab on another channel because you're not actually doing your job as a streamer, you're chilling with friends. Which is fine, but it's again cucking your viewers for the 3rd time in a row without a second thought or concern about your actions. Might as well say you treat your viewers like dirt, in a sense.

Again, the karaoke was so great that I'll overlook it for today, but personally I won't be convinced until I see her respect her viewers for once by consistently putting out *solo* streams on time for an extended period of time.

It's certainly not happening during tournament week, but maybe actually delivering the mengen would be a start. Missing the deadline a minimum of 3 days is still not ok though, and that's why even a 1 minute apology would make it up 100% in my eyes. Just anything with even the slightest bit of sincerity and being genuine.

I really don't understand the logic on why would she stream that. It's very unlikely for Matsuri to stream for more than 30 minutes. If she streams when Nana is streaming, that seems very rude of her since the reason for Nana to invite Matsuri as a guest is to get her audience, and also for that reason, I don't think she'll make a short appearance too.
