These two comments really explain the good and bad sides of both websites. Twitch's culture as a company is absolutely shit tier while youtube seems a lot more hands off (aside from their shitty bots). On the other hand Twitch as a site is a million times better than youtube and watching streams on Twitch is just a more fun and functional environment. Besides Twitch having literal rapists on the staff and being incredibly inconsistent with their rule enforcement, I think the biggest problem is their contracts. If you actually want to get a decent money out of Twitch you can't stream anywhere else so even if things so sour you are shackled to the platform out of fear of losing everything.
