Considering I have been watching vtubers since Kizuna Ai back in mid-2018, I have mostly watched JP girls. Primarily watched HoloJP after many vtubers and corpos started crashing in 2019 (Gambu abuse scandal, replacement, Kizuna Ai’s clone saga, Idolbu’s collapse). But I think the HoloEN girls are far more entertaining than their EN competition. If the no 1 mil no new gen rule is true then it's kinda retarded. For whatever reason council didn't do as well in terms of subs. And the past few months have been non stop drama and shitposts in the community both here and outside. I get some concerns for splitting pre-existing fans even more with the release of a new gen, so the 1 mil rule does make some sense. But EN really needs more big events to draw people. The 2nd half of last year was pretty stagnant with multiple girls sick or on long, work unrelated breaks. HoloFes should plug that gap somewhat but I do hope EN3 would debut within this year cause I feel like we need some revitalising of the branch.
