Still a good industry to get in to. Even now, hell especially now.
The private space race is booming and it will only continue to grow as aero-tech gets cheaper.
Then there is space mining right around the corner, at least 7 different groups (including 2 governments) working on it last I checked.
An alternative is mechatronics with a focus on space related robotics, which is also going to grow considerably in the coming decades, especially with relation to space mining.
