I think it's literally stupid to get into the Twitch business now.
Due to last year's guideline changes, Twitch does not offer much financial benefit except for popular streamers who already have many sponsors and 2-views streamers who need discoverability.

nothing changed for people without negotiated partner contracts. still the same 50/50 cut on subs it always been. Only people who negotiated the 70/30 split or batter had a change, but those are the people who have things like required stream hours or required ad density.

From what I've seen people saying, twitch wants a higher ad density. I'm going to get some shit for saying I watch this guy, but Hasanabi for the longest time was only running and was only required to run 1, 1 minute ad break an hour. When he recently renegotiated his contract they said no way in hell they were going to allow that and now he needs to run 3 and a half minutes of ads an hour. It is still WAY less than most run, but shows they are forcing more ads unto streams. For subs though, no way is hell they are going to go worse than a 50/50 since the only thing that stops people from hoping to youtube are primes and if the split got worse than 50/50 not even primes would get people to stay.

when you do 3 streams a year and it is not a main source of income in any way its very smart to keep that avenue open and build familiarity w/ the platform
