Nah, the butthurt comes mainly from the fact that YGO robbed MtG of the "Most Prolific Card Game".

For those unaware, in the original manga, Kaiba was an MtG world champion, but when Kazuki Takahashi contacted Wizards for permissions they told him to fuck off. In response he invented a new card game on the spot there's also a theory that Bakura was supposed to be a D&D player but had his game changed for the exact same reason. Kaiba ended up being an uber popular character that kept coming back, and the rest is history. Wizards has never recovered from the anal fracture, and it took them ages to get a proper foothold in the market.

I think it's only natural. She's starting to realize people genuinely like her and that must be a novel experience for her, or at the very least a very emotional one.

Given that she was a little memester I can't imagine the levels of nervousness and to be frank sheer horror she experienced when she started streaming like this. My guess is it was true for all EN girls, they didn't expect this, they probably expected just an endless barrage of the usual contempt, hate, "cringe compilations" and bullying. I believe the success caught them off guard and so did our relentless and genuine love. Well, wasn’t just Gura, but I did dream once I became the EN branch manager and organized a meet up/vacation for the girls. Also, I think this might be very... flattering? I think that's a wrong term. Gratifying? Sounds too cynical. Keep in mind that from what we know Gura is a girly girl and almost certainly seems to be above the usual thotery of a western roastie. US Anons used the term "sheltered" to refer to her upbringing but that has exclusively negative connotations in my Slav mindset and means something else than I feel means for the Americans, but in sort she is more similar to your average Anon. A Tomoko if you will. Ergo, to her this is a great validation that she has made the right choice, that her worldview is valid, that men REALLY DO value girls like her far above the pump 'n' dump roasties. We love her for who she truly is, her personality, and not the pleasures of her mere flesh.

This is what really gets me because it's the same for me. It's like she held up a mirror in which I saw myself as clear as day and was confronted with my own lies, my own cynicism and cowardice. Is it strange that I can kind of understand where you're coming from?

I'm a person who has been living their life as if drifting. Collecting achievements I don't care about, simply because they're expected of me... I've constantly thought about how terrifying the concept of death is, cataloguing myself a Thanatophobic. Yet, seeing her trying her best all the time sparked something in me. I've been living all this time as if I were dead. I'm not as afraid of the inevitable end as I thought. What I truly fear is to live without "reason".

So, right now...I want to improve. Achieve a transformation that could make her proud if she learned of it. So strange, to feel this way for someone I've never met, but she's given me the hope I never knew I needed. I wish I could thank her properly. That is my selfish wish.

I'd gladly put my life on the line for her, if she ever were to ask (which she wouldn't, obviously, but still). She'a the one making it worth living, after all. She truly is our Princess.

Ironically enough I've got some background, but I never took it seriously so now I'm going back to the drawing board and learning proper fundamentals. Gura made me want to take it seriously.

One of my biggest problems alongside the lack of fundamentals is that I take _way too fucking long_. I was painting during the entirety of Gura's stream and I'm not even halfway done coloring this drawthread request I'm working on. Pic related, albeit just a small section relevant to this thread.
