Vtubers are perhaps some of the most pampered entertainers out there.

They have a very easy time getting people to be parasocial for them, so they get way more giftsubs and bits than streamers in the same CCV as them.
They're behind a computer screen and far away from their audience, so someone being creepy with them is usually "A fan sent me a weird message" rather than "A fan ran up to the stage and kissed me and thought that was fine".
Even then, and people are going to scream at this because we're on /vt/ because if you're here your perception is probably skewed, but their fanbases are on average very curated and nice to them. Most have a sizable chuck of yes men who aren't willing to say anything negative towards them.

And if I may double down, a sizable amount of schizos are from a vtuber going out of their way to do something that pisses out their fanbase. HoloLive vtuber collabing with someone else and even holding their hand onstream in order to piss some of their fans off? Are you serious?

I'm not talking about just pushing out content "into the void" (which I do for practice anyway) and hoping for the best but how do I get that first click from basically randos?

I'm kind of at square 0 and a half where I do have a good chunk of followers between my twitch and social, but it's mainly other chuubas and the viewers of a few people I've collabed with or been shouted out but who never seem to stop by since it was likely just a courtesy follow.
