Kanatan is so unique compared to the other holos. She doesn't act cartoonish and yell all the time like Pekora, Korone and the like, and she doesn't try to act chill all the time like Okayu either, she is just normal in a good way, she doesn't come off as forced.

Ironic since those are her main inspirations. I think what makes her "real" to me is how much she earnestly tries her best to match them and we see the whole path to that. She makes it entertaining in her own very personal way. At times her approach is shaped just by her own ideas of what the result should be, she simply does her best and wings it from there, I think it's a bit underrated. I think Kanata's strengths (metric wise) lay in topical zatsudan and game-as-a-backdrop ones. Things like the prefecture stream for a focused topic, and things like Jump King which were basically 12-hour light-chat streams.
Management fucking over her idea to do idol otaku streams is so fucking lame though.

True, her last few weeks have been pure gold. Watching her Ham-Ham Heartbreak made me realize just how good of an entertainer she has become. I previously watched Hisui play it a bit and while it was good Kanata just adds so much flavor to the stream on top of the game being fun on its own. From herself being a hamster to her playing it right in the middle of dealing with Gakki loss, it's just perfect. The whole Gakki arc has been an incredible success even in terms of just numbers. But I'd be down for some monhun too.

I really hope the 4th gen song goes well. I don't expect anything brilliant since this is Kanata's first time dabbling in serious song composing, but she did say she would have professional supervision. More than anything, music is a big passion for her, and it would be really nice if she found other ways to express herself other than singing, specially something where her condition wouldn't be such a big handicap.

I don't think anyone expects something serious to come from this but it should be a colorful experience. Kanata will probably try to add a lot of personality to it more so than technical polish, plus it's a good introduction to making music from scratch. As someone who writes and records music alone these kind of projects are usually the most fun to work on

Kanata has proven herself to be more than capable despite the illness, I have no doubts she'll do great. Her quality is something I trust without a second thought.
