Gura's raw talent absolutely cannot be denied, and some people are just born with it. She's also partially self taught; singing to yourself can do wonders if you're consistent with it.

Honestly her first stream being a Zelda game seemed like a good idea in theory, but with Link's Awakening it's just kind of boring in the gameplay department because it's a redo of a Gameboy game. Not a lot of great reaction material/variety etc.

Also probably most of her audience is far too young to have played the original - and those who did (like me) aren't honestly the most interested in this entry in the LoZ series. Like, if you want to command my attention with nostalgia play anything between OoT through TP, but.. that's just me. Nostalgia + vtubers is really interesting IMO because it's taking something from peoples' far past and splashing it with an ultra-modern thing, mixing very old and very new memories/sentiments. If it's a chuuba who feels like she could have been your sister (like Korone) this effect gets ridiculously amplified.

I mean to be the most shrewd sure-bet numberfag possible I'd literally say they should all just play Minecraft at least part of the week, as fucking amazingly uncreative as that is. Elira had never even touched the game before but still got probably the most well-received and fucking incredibly key, most talked about, NijiEN stream thus far. The game is both a top buff and just ridiculously ideal for vtubers as a quirk of nature (lots of time to zatsudan). Then again Gura, who only questionably has watched much anime at all and knows like, 2 words in Japanese, is 2.7m subs. That's just how it goes. Kids are what they are - not dumb per se, but certainly ignorant nor demanding at all of standards/knowledge tiers - that's why companies love to target them so much.

All that being said, as was already said earlier in the thread a remake of a Game Boy game is going to be really fucking simple gameplay that doesn't really give a lot of juice.. of a game that is technically a Zelda game yes, but not one of the big nostalgia bomb attraction ones like OoT or MM, nor the modern one people would go to out of relevance, BotW.

Whether Pomu picked this or management, who knows, but it certainly could have been better. An N64 game would give people strong impressions of her as a retro gamer, which doesn't appear to be the aim, but otherwise if they have Nintendo perms just shoulda gone for BotW I think. Now with that also-also being said... a retro gamer could be a good niche actually. There isn't really a solid one of those around HoloEN or vsh*jo. Look at it this way: Hololive is kind of the juggernaut in the western vtuber world at the moment. Unfortunately for anyone that has to follow them in another generation or beyond, they are going to have an incredible amount of pressure to live up to numbers standards that just can't be reproduced now.
