something else is i hear japs have lots of "technically correct but nonetheless bad practice" critiques of gaijin nihongo. english has very little of that due to it being a lingua franca. how a brit structures his sentence, how an american structures his sentence, how a european structures his sentence -- they all vary yet are all accepted.
english is such a diverse language that you have controversial and heated debates on how to spell, write, and speak it. at a fairly basic level too.
some examples:
oxford comma
semicolon
american spelling
contractions
topic referencing
paragraph structure
topic placements

and so much more
tldr; learn english to a communicative level and then learn the type of english you want. do you want to read poetry? advanced english novels? do you want to do buisness? stream? shitpost online? watch movies? speak to americans? speak to brits? everything i just listed has it's own style of english. you should be able to understand most of these styles at a communicative understanding, but writing/sparking might be hard and require practice.

by the way the way i'm talking right now is very informal aggressive confrontational english. i wouldn't write like this to my colleagues or friends or in any formal discussion/debate.
