It seems it was TTV LOL that was causing issues for me.. It's the now defunct ad blocker for twitch, disabling it did the trick. Incognito mode worked as well, so try that to see if it's cookies or extensions fucking it up

I've found that Twitch goes out of its way to fuck you over if you use adblock, like showing you pre-roll ads on channels you're subscribed to and shit like that. I add an adblocker exception for the URLs of channels I sub to for that reason.
