That community in particular is a Hololive/Nijisanji only community (it is still the largest however). Local vtubers have their own seperate communities. It's similar to how Hololive and Nijisanji are most of this board, and then you have /wvt/, /lig/, /vsj/ kinda in their own corner.

I was just watching Miori Celesta’s stream (mostly drinking and zatsudan to celebrate 320k subscribers. I *think* that’s a joke about how she reached 300k and didn’t realize), and even though she doesn’t really go out of her way to pander to Koreans…holy shit is the difference huge. It’s only when you watch other Korean (or Korean-descended) vtubers when you realize how easy it is to forget that Kronii’s even Korean by comparison.
That’s perfectly fine. To each their own, and it’s not like I’d want every vtuber who knows Chinese to use it on-stream—GOD, no (t.a chink). But that’s probably why, because Kronii rarely uses Korean on stream. And also streams at NA times.

You're not giving them the full picture /#/bro,
Here's a graph showing the number of posts by the month and it's been slowly decreasing over time. This month it's down by 15%.
The Korean Hololive boom that happened specifically due to HoloEN (Myth and Council) is starting to slow down. You can see it by the fact that there aren't many EN members in the Top 10 mentions rankings that you posted.
The reality of the situation is that the Korean HoloEN fanbase is slowly being bled away, this could be due to a variety of factors, but the fact is that it is happening, and all those fans are moving on to local indies or corpos.

Also another interesting thing: because English is somewhat commonly taught in Korea, a lot of people have been translating posts from /vt/ to KR communities. This in particular has caused a HUGE surge in doxxposting and certain things that were isolated here like the whole "Ame calling Gura a fucking bitch thing" are now starting to be referenced more commonly in KR communities which is in turn chipping away at the number of EN fans.

Like for example this post got some traction some days ago. You'll notice that every detail in this post is part of some rrat known/created on /vt/. In other words, /vt/ is legitimately affecting perception of EN in Korea. (Excuse me for the wonky Google translation)

>> No.37429939

>>37429643
> You can see it by the fact that there aren't many EN members in the Top 10 mentions rankings that you posted.
I’m pretty sure that anon means that the EN members are slipping relative to Korean and Japanese speaking vtubers. Even if school starting lowers everyone’s numbers, it seems like EN’s are lowering even further. That’s probably to be expected if more Korean speaking vtubers are inclining, because that happens for every market that gets enough locals—the viewers who don’t do their reps start switching over.
I mean, it happened in EN.

I say shit like “superfluous” and “exogenous” in daily life without trying to, I was already making a conscious effort *not* to use words like those. I don’t know how irys does it.

>That’s probably to be expected if more Korean speaking vtubers are inclining, because that happens for every market that gets enough locals—the viewers who don’t do their reps start switching over.
That is basically what is happening in the KR market:
>Local vtubers that struggled to get 100 views before are getting in the range of 500~200 viewers now.
>Clippers who only clipped Hololive are starting to clip local vtubers as well.
>On top of that, there are now 3 platforms featuring KR vtubers, Youtube, Twitch, and Afreeca.
>Also just for reference, the largest KR vtubers right now (Isegye Idol) are competitive with VShojo and lower-tier Holos in terms of numbers.
Since unlike EN there was never a local branch to take advantage of the Hololive boom in Korea, competitors have been able to take advantage of the momentum for their own. This is eventually going to have a negative effect on any chuuba with some KR audience as well, since their momentum is effectively being leeched away.

That seems pretty similar to what’s happening now in EN. Remember how last year “2view” literally meant 2 views, and now it means “viewers in the double digits”? Although since the EN market is smaller, I think HoloEN opening helped the indies as well as Cover itself, and HoloEN stagnating is helping the indies even further.
So maybe Cover decided that the amount of JP audience that a KR branch would cannibalize was too much to be worth it. To be honest, I think they might be right.

>> No.37432131

>>37431790
It’s the attitude they have towards their audience. Their audience doesn’t give a fuck about males, so they collab with males. Three out of the four EN members who collabed with males thought they could berate their audience into “being better” instead of slowly easing them into the possibility of male collabs not being the end of the world.
And they failed. But they had other problems that made it worse, and I think it’s connected. The biggest part is trying to be combative with their audience instead of using persuasion.
Don’t like your model’s boobs and how some of your audience is really into your Minecraft content, or that they complain about all the gaps in your schedule? Just stop doing those and also wear your new outfit to a fucking Ring Fit stream! That’ll show them. Your audience members didn’t like your collabs with Connor? Start making it a secret so they don’t know in advance! Get complaints about male collabs? Mock them and tell them to improve themselves instead of just being honest with them and tell them that the EN side finally has enough members to plan collabs for the group games you’ve always wanted to host, and that you’ll make up for it later.
Leaving aside politics and social issues, JP and ID know that whatever they think about that stuff personally, a vtubing stream where people are trying not to think about that sort of thing is not the place to bring it up.

Maybe it's coming back to the saying that the IDs are the middle ground between JP and EN, mostly speaking in English but still have the feel of them being Asian, so they're more relatable to KR and TW.
You can check on the IDs who are a bit too western in content like Risu, Ollie, or Reine, and they lose in popularity compared to Moona, Zeta, Kaela, or Kobo in those two communities.
