I'll give you a genuine explanation for his success and then his drop in viewers. He started gaining attention because he started vtweeting around the time that Gura was starting off. So he basically leeched off of the shark themed vtuber success even if it wasn't intentional. Then after he debuted everyone realised he was a tranny with boring streams. Seriously have any of you watched an Artemis stream? It's almost impressive how fucking boring he is, absolutely no talent or personality. I know this is a bait thread and that op is a colossal faggot but let me elaborate.
This shark spent months shilling on twitter. It actually worked since the model is pretty top tier. Then a giant circlejerk started with another faggot (domo) where they both sucked eachother's dick.
Then the debut was delayed, the shark tried as much as possible to delay the debut, because he knows he doesn't have the charisma so instead he relied on making as much audience as possible so he can be too big to fall.
And it worked, of course he lost a lot of viewers with that debut, but there's enough audience that are invested to keep on going.

It’s not so much that you shouldn’t collab, but know that many people who come to watch you are coming to watch you specifically. They want to see you, they want to interact with you and they want to learn about you, in a way. If you go straight into collab all you’ll be doing is pushing yourself away and instead advertising other people. First show off yourself, establish yourself and let them know who you are. Then once they know who you are you can go on to show them the other-side of you that interact with other people. Even collabing you should be advertising yourself, not whoever you’re collabing.
