I think people have covered the timeslots, scheduling, culture, and some programming so here are some other tips:
1) SKILLS - you need to be good at something, I would fucking hope the corpo hired you for your skills but Iluna exists. And you need to SHOW those skills on stream all the time. But you also need to keep developing new skills. Pick something and improve it until you can be known for it, whether it's a game, singing, zatsu, whatever works. You can still do that thing on stream while you're improving, as long as you are making genuine improvement it can be a story arc.
2) SHORT VS LONG - you want both in the start. Long streams are for the weekends where you bully through longer content to the end. Short streams are your bread and butter, they must be bite sized, something a viewer can pick up, watch in one session, and also skip without regrets if they're behind. This is the fotm and short game slot, among other things. You also need 1 or 2 days break not for you but to let your viewers catch up on vods, this means they're less likely to get overwhelmed and stop showing up live. Use those Pekora viewer retention tricks everyone else has explained better than I can, but this contributes especially early.
3) PREP WORK - I don't just mean testing things, ensuring game works on stream, or killing tech issues. I mean do things like zatsu note taking, research how each game should be played or what you can do, make setlists, know what your genmates or other branch members are up to so you can talk about them, brief collab partners before the stream, research ways to improve your setup. Yes, stream entertainment should arise spontaneously, but you can help the process along.
4) SC READINGS - don't do it at first, you can bring this in Month 3 or so if that's what you want
