kiara is more than just blunt. She is incapable of hiding her emotions. on one hand that can be a nice thing, but in general it is very detrimental. There have been many times where she will be depressed and stream and it depresses her entire audience which is the opposite of what people are looking for when they go to watch a vtuber. Gura simply can't be mean to people, it's not in her makeup. even when she tries to be mean it comes out as awkward and cute and she always apologizes or stops herself.

if she can't be mean to others she won't be mean to her audience.

Gura does streaming with a simple rule of thumb "leave them smiling, and wanting more". She doesn't do marathon streams, she doesn't stream every day, she doesn't stream stuff she doesn't have fun streaming. because then it won't be fun for the audience.

I know some people wish she would have finished elden ring, but in her last stream of that game she was miserable, she stopped chatting she was getting frustrated. eventually she picked a fight with a titan, lost a few times, got some laughs and funny screams and called the stream to an end, and never streamed it again. She knew this game needed too much brain power to properly be entertaining when streaming, and it was far too frustrating for her to be happy when doing it. so she stopped.

The one time people got uppity for gura straight up saying loli, she was just like "what, afraid of a 4 letter word?" and moved on. It pretty much established her position on the matter in a quick, concise way without getting into a debate and derailing the stream over a single word. Hell, the one time she did get legitimately mad at her chat, during the 2021 New Years stream where chat kept calling her drunk, she apologized for it next stream, even though she was honestly in the right to be upset over something like that. Gura just doesn't like drama or seeing fans fight, which probably makes the current drama particularly hard on her. She spent the last stream praising Kronii for helping her with the 3D concert, so she's trying to support her without getting involved in the drama. She knows how to handle the internet better than most, I just wish people actually took her wisdom to heart and trusted her intuition.
