You know I tend to think nowadays that Hololive has done a ridiculous amount of damage to the image of vtubers in the west.

Not only did they encourage the creation of a fanbase full of toxic unicorns that will go off and harass people over the slightest perceived slight to their oshi or hololive or even just based on their sex alone, making the whole industry seem distasteful to normal people. But the HoloEN members have also been shit vtubers while cultivating that audience of nutjobs.

So now they are trying to cast off those unicorns and creating antis in the process. Anti's whose only experience with vtubers is basically with the HoloEN members who tend to be lazy, never stream, constantly make up excuses to get out of it, hostile and hateful towards their audience and so on. Antis that will then go off and shit talk all vtubers in general as being the same way despite their main experience being HoloEN only because the always believed HoloEN was the peak vtuber experience to begin with.
