I have a question for hololive fans. Is Gura moving into the japanese branch? She's taking a bunch of japanese lessons and doing events with the japanese vtubers. It's kind of bizarre. There's some speculation the EN branch might be abandoned, in which case Gura would switch to the japanese branch.

Unironically, the best way to fix EN is to actually put in effort scouting the next gen. The Sana shit was an embarrassment but just underlines the problem. If you want to see all of these girls "suddenly" have motivation to stream and put in effort again just drop a new gen with properly scouted talent on them. Put in effort with their models. Make sure they are hungry and eager to stream. Make sure one of the new talents and models is absolute cunny bait too. There, problem solved. Instead we'll probably get more nepotism hires complaining that "my feet hurt".

Cover needs to:
1. Hire people that are actually good at streaming. Singing and drawing are nice talents but in the western world most people don't really care about that shit, if I'm tuning into a stream I'm doing it to laugh or be impressed by some creative content.
2. Drop the idol image from the EN side. It's too restrictive on the talents and entirely unnecessary since this kind of idol culture doesn't exist in the west anyway.

Personally I've pretty much stopped watching EN because the only interesting streams we ever got were some collabs planned by ame, but you can only pull a rabbit so many times out of a hat before people get bored with the trick. VR is cool but if that's the extent of creativity and uniqueness coming from hololive then they deserve to stagnate.
