Take Marine as an example. Marine was at 2.13m, tied with Mori, and then lost it TWICE and took multiple days just to finally make it back. Marine was at around 130-150k subs last month, and is down to 50k because of the eventual drop off PLUS the purges reverting any gain she's getting. It's the same as to why Gura right now is sitting at 30k subs/month. Yes it's the time off, but this happened earlier this year too when sub purges were being confirmed by actual talents in the company.

I don't really understand the logic behind some of these anons. The members literally confirmed subs are being hit. So why try to put down someone who can't eclipse the mark because the sub count keeps decreasing before it reaches it?

When you're above 1 million, youtube only counts subs in increments of 10k. There's a legitimate possibility she's on the cusp of that 10k but the purge is pushing her away from it, which in turn gives her the triple 0. If she hit 10k and remained above it, there's not much of a difference than what some big names in the company are getting.

Solo Debuts are fucking steroids for early-state growth cycles, but depressants for late-state growth cycles. You get pros (all the attention on you and you alone for a hype cycle) and cons (no easy access to a group to bounce off of for content once the hype cycle moves to the next event/group).
I think long term, it's a positive for both IRyS and Salome to have been solo debut girls, but that it came with obvious downsides which cascaded to them over time. IRyS dealt with it better than Salome, via integrating herself with another group, compared to sticking to the solo world, but they both feel it even today in some form.
