Considering Lap has been sick recently I can see Kanata just checking up on her every now and then to keep her spirits up. Like that time where Lap was randomly tweeting that Kanata dared her to do well in a game, I think the money counting one.
In general though, as far as I noticed Kanata tends to keep contact with plenty of members behind the scenes, just that they mostly stay as behind the scenes conversation until a story is brought up by either member. Realistically what else is there to do for her in Rust? You guys talk about team play and so on but Kanata's options are severely limited. She's not a part of the big league players so she's not coordinating anything with anyone, she doesn't have people following her like Miko or Pekora. She can't PvP, people either res-kill her or take pity on her after killing her once. She can't amass significant power for both those reasons. She doesn't organize collabs. What's left is hoping that things happen on their own and someone bands together on the spot and that's unreliable. We've already seen how things turn out on the server, there are 3-4 key players who have 80% of power and others do whatever. So I'd say it's fine if Kanata just does what she finds fun, Holorust is already a one-sided joke of a server, if she doesn't want to fight for control it's probably not worth it for her.

That's what I think too, most holos stream whatever, gathering, grinding, fishing and people still love it. Kanata doesn't think it makes good content and chooses not to stream it, nothing to be done about it. Her being embarrassed about the last stream combined with her wobbly physical state really does make Rust an awful game for her. I don't find it surprising that she enjoys part of the game and wants to try playing it, but not streaming most of it really is the right choice.
There is such a difference between streaming and not streaming for someone with Kanata attributes, she can pause or stop playing Rust whenever she wants if she's not Live, even if she just wants to play for 20 min then take a pause. Can't do that while streaming.

Criticizing Kanata is okay even though people here consider it schizoposting due to some insecurity. It's just like Kanata herself, everything can be treated as an attack so people are weary. Yeah this is a good take, there's obviously gonna be stuff to criticize, there's stuff to criticize for every member in Holo and probably any figure in entertainment in general, as long as the criticism is done in the fan thread and discussed in good faith there's nothing wrong with it. Plus it's not like she doesn't know a lot of them herself, a lot of the stuff I'd have criticized in the past she's improved on, like her shutting down in collabs, besides the Rust finale where she wasn't feeling well this hasn't really happened recently.

I'll also excuse most stuff but I do have something I want to call her out for, lately she feels like a bit of a "passive entity" in Holo, for the lack of a better term. I feel the same about her being a bit isolated on stream. We know that behind the scenes she gets along with others fairly well but a lot of times it doesn't translate. As far as Rust goes I'll be honest I like her solo streams more because things get awkward a lot of times. I love watching her go at her own pace and figure out stuff with chat's help and to that end those guerilla subway raids were a blessing too. But Kanata is kinda bad at the game and that makes griefing her a bit sad. Miko's photos idea was funny but with anything more serious you know Kanata just can't punch back.

But in her attitude in general I can't really tell if she's happy where she's at or she's just happy things aren't rolling downhill even more for now. For that situation it makes sense since we were explicitly told that management was the bottleneck and it needed to go through them first, blame them to your heart's content. But management has never had any direct input on what the schedule of a member is, like telling a member "you should collab more" and Kanata isn't someone who's gonna ask for advice in order for someone to tell her to not be scared of reaching out.
Management isn't great at Holo, I'll fully agree to that, there's plenty of times where they drop the ball. But they aren't responsible for everything a member does, far from it.
