Personally I think she was lying to herself in that members stream when she was talking about the kind of compromises she was going to make - she was speaking quite haltingly and was noncommittal even when suggesting the twitter interaction wouldn't happen, it didn't seem like a rock solid position even then it seemed like her trying to walk a line and keep as many people happy as possible.

In the end I don't think she "gets" it or even wants to get it she was just trying to be considerate to the feelings of the gachis.
