I don't like Rust in particular, but Hololive really benefits from something with an ongoing world/server with proximity voice chat where all the girls can interact/roleplay and have spontaneous collabs. Especially since the company has hit a critical mass ow where they have so many talents that it's like a small town. Minecraft doesn't fill that void because no proximity voice and also people don't want to lose what they build so nothing aggressive/fun ever happens.

It's an open world pvp game, there is no "correct" way to play it, people play the way they want to play. Not everyone wants to no-life Sulphur farm to offline raid or whatever your twitchtards do these days.

even the jp crew playing is only barely passable because of a few members like Matsuri, Polka, Miko and Pekora who actuallly tries to be fun.
Honorary mention to Fubuki's autism and Suisei but their only problem is too much gambling for the former and barely any stream to the later.

But many of the newcomers will probably just stay, the tech tree is kept but again that depends if they are that patient enough to recreate their massive fortress’s. Again this could either just continue the rust saga or the wipe will be the beginning of the decline
