I feel like a fake fan. It's been like a year and a half that I don't keep up with the JP girls. Just some clips every now and then. Watame was my oshi and it has been several months since I last watched her. I feel like a traitor. I also haven't seen much of gen 6, I barely know them. I haven't seen much of ID either. I've been kinda following HoloEN, but even them I'm not _properly_ following. I just watch random streams. I missed many important events. It has also been more than a year that I don't watch Hologra and don't listen to new songs, not even HoloEN songs. I almost don't even check Holostars, I watched Tempus' debuts and that was all. I'm so far behind that I'm not sure if I can even call myself a Hololive fan anymore. 2 years ago I used to keep up with everything that was going on, but now I can't. And since I can't keep pace with everything and everyone, I end up giving up and don't watch anything. And again, I feel like a traitor. This is stupid, but it really makes me sad. I feel like I'm failing with them and with myself.

I understand you anon, I’ve been there. During 2020 I managed to watch most streams from a lot of JP girls and follow all important events but nowadays there’s just too many of them. I got frustrated but in the end I figured out you just gotta pick your oshi/favorite ones and stick to them to make it. I work from home and the kind of stuff I do allows me to listen to streams on the background while I work all day but even then it’s just too much to keep up with. I picked my four favorite JPs and only keep up with them, I get to listen about others by proxy when they talk about them and sometimes I watch anniversary lives but that’s about it, it’s just not humanly possible to keep up with everyone. I’d pick either EN/ID, or JP because following both branches closely is just impossible.

Dude you don't even need to watch any stream or clip to be a fan you realize? For the most part just reading the threads is far enough. If anything noteworthy happens anons will always summarize it for you.
At best a clip once in a while if you have time to waste, but that's already way past what's necessary, why would you inflict yourself watching streams where nothing happen for 99% of the time.
