The statistic the youtube algorithm looks at is hours viewed, aka engagement. There is no way to know who is doing better in that so all the numberfaggotry is unjustified, but CCV is probably the most closely correlated metric for streams (views is very accurate for shorts but not so much a 3 hours long vod). Either way that is dumb too because their biggest source of income is merch which isn't visible on youtube metrics at all.

Remember, in the beginning, Pomu had a ccv average of 1.6k.
Selen was the only one who could even reach 3k on a stream, and only on apex streams.

It used the be the case that if every single member of nijiEN streamed at the same time, the max combined viewers would never exceed 8k. That was the absolute maximum for the entire branch. Selen's birthday stream got the highest total ever with 8.4k.

Now Pomu is averaging 3.5k, which is insane. They're starting to generate streams that hit 8k or even above 10k on a semi-regular bases, even without the help of the boys. The popularity growth is huge. The hololive fans are unironically threatened by them now, which is insane to think about.

It used to be that hololive EN would never get below 10k on any of their streams. NijiEN had 1/5 of their viewers at best (although roughly the same donations, surprisingly). Now NijiEN is getting only 1/3 of their viewers.

Tempus has a small fanbase with little exposure but those few fans literally mark every stream on their calendars and religiously watch everything. The lack of exposure means slow growth. Iluna is known by a lot of people (because they're part of an actually successful branch) but few of them watch more than a few minutes of each stream so CCV never builds up yet total views are high (from all the people clicking and leaving soon after). We don't know who truly is bigger or will be bigger long term, but I do believe Tempus won't recline too much even in a worst case scenario.

Maybe Nijisanji shouldn't debut 50 meh members per branch every year and some people would be able to keep track of everything going on. The issue of having so many people is that fatigue sets in and you need to triage your time to find people you actually care about.

That has less to do with Nijisanji and more with NijiEN specificaly. NijiJP at least has varied livers like Mashiro that you really cant find elsewhere, and NijiID has livers that at least go out of their comfort zone with games like Dying Light, Borderlands, Watch Dogs, or even talents like Xia that try to fill in a niche with the old Need For Speed/Burnout games.
Right now most of EN just feel like they're only interested in playing or doing what their co-workers are. I genuine don't know if its a fault of the talents with their League/APEX/Valorant arcs or if this is a fault on the management specifically.
Add that with the sheer amount of talents they keep shotgunning out and despite having 26 people their content is now starting to blend together.

Because there's no need to keep track of everyone in the first place. If you look at both Tempus and Iluna's chat overlap on vrabi, every boy in Tempus has like around 80% of overlap with Vesper while some like Maria literally has more overlap with the other NijiEN like Elira or Luca than with her genmate, all of which won't higher than 50%.
Basically after debut, their fanbase scattered to stick on who they like the most while the whole Tempus fanbase is a same group of people watch all of their stream.
