The good news is that it works! The bad news is that with IK active it fucks up the legs. This means the avatar will not track Leta's movement. It will still do faces and shit, but I will probably have to animate the head bops and what not due to it not being able to do so.
We take those, I don't fucking care a win is a win. I -think- I'll be able to do a shaft head tilt. I think

Well, that is only during these special animations!
And I'm very glad to tell you there is a free whole body tracker that can be used with VSF, with no extra crap or hardware required!
However I'd still push for VR chat when it comes to such things. But I could try to use the body tracker

Well, I -can- make the head tilt. The bad part is that, as you'd expect, the tracking fucking D I E S and Letania might or might not enter an infinite spin state.
Overall it's doable, but definitely no worth it.
Also probably not doable in VRChat due to same-ish issues.

Procedurally generated music through face-tracking inputs.

I'm about to finish my first build of a markov-chain algorithm that procedurally generate music (chiptune) depending on a variety of inputs like words, pictures and recently, face tracking inputs.
The AI model has only been trained on about 200 chiptune midi tracks but I'll add more (I have to manually label the tracks with the vocabulary they inspire so it does take a bit of time).

Since I also travel regularly I was thinking of using this face tracking to record my reaction/feelings combined with video feed to get the colors of the landscape I'm walking through, and feeding it as input to generate a music. Simplified example but while red would be more fast-paced/intense blue is often more relaxing, and brightness which bring stronger harmonics/more musical layers. Face tracking show a wide range of emotions and being surprised can create a jump in the music, melancholia or happiness also impact it etc.
The final result would be a video of discovering something and the music generation from this ensemble of factors.

Note that it can be adapted to simply reacting to something, like community-submitted content and the viewers can see how their submission is translated in music because of the feeling it gave to the reader.

I considered also using a heartbeat tracker for an additional input and later having some kind of visual effects generated with the music but that's for another time.
Overall I think it's the type of content I would enjoy seeing people react in real time. The chat feed could be use to generate another video as well as bonus.

If I knew the slightest thing about any of that I would love to help, but I can tell you that neither twitch nor youtube vtuber fans will care in the slightest, you'll have better luck aiming for a completely different audience, maybe make the video Junferno styled so to make it more accessible and entertaining for the average consumer.
A twitch broadcast or a youtube video explaining this kinda stuff will drown unless you send it to a paper research channel, and even then even if it gets views it might still not catch on.

I considered it vtubing since in essence it's the same process but the model is just represented in a different form and I was wondering if there was some kind of interest/audience for more experimental vtubing among indies creators, but you're probably right about the audience which is fine.

Addendum, I researched a similar idea 10 years ago for my master's thesis, as a few people experimented with generating music through Kinect as a "cheap" accessible tracking :

Still I'm aware of how it can fail at multiple steps yet, I need to clear my mess before sharing it, getting an interesting results may need a lot of tweaking too

For vulgarisation I often compare to how minecraft generate random terrain indefinitely but it always follows many rules to not be just random blocks everywhere but a coherent landscape. Similarly, with music.
For how it actually works, I have a lexical database with ponderated links between each words. It serves as the missing link between the songs used to train the model (manually labelled) and the other inputs like face tracking. External inputs get translated into words like Happy, Sad, Fearful, Angry, Surprised, Disgusted, Sleeping and their combos, visuals similarly.
Input -> language -> labels -> set of song for the model

After the input is identified as a set of ponderated words (vector), each track in the base model is pondered depending on cosinus distance between the input's semantic vector and the track's semantic vector. Then the model is used to
construct the Stochastic matrix which constructs the melody

Very simplified example but : when on a F note, knowing the previous one was A, you have 40% chance to go to note C, 25% back to A, 15% to G etc. depending on tonality) this part is the most tricky to make work well, there are many others things that juste the note to consider (its duration, harmonies, etc) for now I go for chiptune style since it's pretty consistent and and "simple" and can be easily generated by computer.

I thought that instead of using random seeds, using data like pictures and face tracking would be a new angle that has never been properly explored.

I'm just not confident enough in what I have to hand it over and I don't wanna give too high hopes as it's still in progress and there is a difference a project that technically work and a result that is interesting to see/hear as content.

It's a kind of a lifelong interest I want to see work, and discovering vtubing brought another dimension to it for me since the virtual
representation never had to be a model or even a visual after all. There have been bodytracking music & light shows but often with very little implication of the actual body data.
Glad to see some form on interest I'll definitely post here once there is further progress then. I'll stop self posting for now.

While you play piano (the input), the ai plays a duet with you with you, from the "knowledge" it was given of harmonies.
It's "input->algo->result" simplest form : you input something (a note) and the algorithm replies with one that feels adequate. Expect here I want the input to be face tracking and more, the algo with more depth and the result to be musical/visual ideally.
