Funds are unironically the biggest boost to new players that's ever been put into the game so far and it's not even close, but for some reason hardly any of the lower networth players are actually taking advantage of them properly. I suppose it's a lack of desire to actually climb, which is an issue I can't come up with a solution to.
The best I can come up with is cosmetic rewards for reaching certain milestones.

Making Dividends based on the same ratio as Starting Liquid would also escalate the New Player Experience, because they'd be getting more money each week, and thus get in faster.

You could also point new players into general advice beyond "buy low sell high". Stuff that the community has already done, but is easily ignored by outsiders.

Dividends don't really boost newer players, trading does. I suppose that some players could band together to write an essential guidebook to trading, one that'd introduce a lot of core concepts without spoiling everything.

Copying my post from last thread with some changes
For new players:
-Increase starting money for new players, I think 100 or 200 times the average of all coins would be reasonable. I made an alt account last month and only recently got to a networth of several millions, enough to start trading for a few cycles each day, that's where the game actually begins imo.
-Remove anons who have been inactive for more than X months from the leaderboard and oshiboards automatically to let new players aim for their positions, with maybe an option to show the inactive players?
-Removing taxes completely for players below a certain spot on the leaderboard. I'm tempted to say below the top 100 because I'm in the top 110-120, but maybe below the top 150-200 would be more fair?
For what I think would be fun:
-Increase the dividends pool, anons have a better idea on how to do it than me so just read their posts
-Reward consistent activity and penalize inactivity with dividends. Let's say that a "normal" holo streams/uploads videos 3-5 times a week, that would give her 100% of her dividends. Holos that stream less would get their dividends cut, something like 90% of dividends for 2 streams, 80% for 1 stream, and 60% for no streams or uploads. Meanwhile, holos who stream 6 or more times in a week would get their dividends boosted for each additional stream above 6 Yes I know this might penalize Aki's dividends but fuck it, it's time for the Koyori meta
-Delete auctions that have been up for more than a week, I don't want to see Cumlord's name anymore
-Maybe do something new with the items? An anon had some fun ideas for items that had some effects on trading or on other players game visuals

This is nice idea, having more starting money would let new players experiment more easily with how the game works.
>remove inactive players from the leaderboard
Agree on this one too, seeing some people still high in the leaderboard after months of inactivity is pretty demoralizing.
>remove taxes for people below the top 100
I'd say below the top 150 would be better range, people above that should already have a good idea on how multicoin and taxes work.
>increase the dividend pool
That would either be good, or bad because more people might run into the issue of not being able to spend all of their liquids.
>reward holos activity and penalize inactivity
I don't think that would be a really good idea, but I might be wrong.

Increasing starting money is an idea, but let me resurrect an idea I think is even better from a couple of months ago: giving new players a lot of tax credits, so they can trade tax-free initially. Also, make it possible for those credits to be spent on Betting, so vtl and hfz anons can immediately hop in.

Boosting dividends makes the share of profit one makes from trading lower, so it only benefits inactive accounts and richfags. The more money you can gain from trading, the better you can climb.

Automatically hiding inactive players from the leaderboard is a possibility, you can already do that but it'd just be made by default, it's probably a simple change? I think it's good.

I don't think taxes should be removed for lower-ranking people, that's not the point, the game needs some type of profit where you can outpace others.

Delete those auctions with one last slap on the wrist equaling 10% of the auction's worth.

The current system benefits chuubas that take breaks and drop big streams, while also causing consistent strong performers that stream regularly to crab. For adjustments, this is fine. Stablecoins are rough to trade, but you can lose a bunch of money on bouts of laziness or sudden emergencies. For dividends, however, this is wildly unfair, as dividends are currently based on the same metrics adjustments are: Performance in comparison to previous performance (although drawn out over a week).
People who do not stream or otherwise produce content on their channel should have their dividends slashed greatly, and those that do consistent daily streams and/or marathon streams should have their cut of the dividend pool increased.

>I'd say below the top 150 would be better range
Agreed, I started to multicoin more when I passed that threshold
>I don't think that would be a really good idea, but I might be wrong.
I suggested it in part so there would be more variations in who has high dividends. As it is, I noticed that I just follow into a pattern of just buying Mori, Suisei, Hololive, Kobo, or Miko whenever I have some funds left for the week. It would particularly increase dividends for anniversaries / birthdays, since holos often follow the formula of "countdown stream > live or totsu > music video", so 3 uploads likely in that week. Miko and Subaru would become very strong with that change for example, and I don't think this is necessarily wrong given how much they stream
>>30446100
>giving new players a lot of tax credits
I like this idea, how much are you thinking? 100 millions?
>Boosting dividends makes the share of profit one makes from trading lower, so it only benefits inactive accounts and richfags
I guess that's true. What I was thinking with that idea was to make oshicoining more viable for a new player

Streaming should be a good thing, and if them streaming is what makes them meta, that's perfectly fine.
People who don't stream should fall off.

Truth be told I was thinking something like 1-2 million or 10x the starting liquid. 100 million would put new players in Top 300 after they convert their credits to money with taxless trading. Alternatively, it could be high, but then also give every active player one-time credit boost. 10 million won't change anything for the richfags, but for new and active players it's a gamechanger. Then again, you don't really want to push out newfags out of that territory too quickly, because early game is the most fun. Reps and day to day trading is king, and with active trading you can make ~30% per day.

Hey all, trial dev here!
Mostly good news here, with some prodding in the right direction I've figured out the exact line of code which is breaking the autotraders.
When honk was updating the tax rates calculations to check if you can buy coins, he accidentally typo'd the wrong quantity variable.

let taxRate = Math.max(0.1, rule.targetQuantity * 0.008 - 0.3);
This should be stepQuantity instead of targetQuantity. The reason this was really weird to track down is because everyone reported very different behaviours... everyone having different quantities and different balances would be why from the above.

The temporary workaround for this (until honk can update the site) is to lower your quantity to only whatever 24hours is or something like that. If you have a super low balance then you may have to update this throughout the day or something like that...
The good news is people were being charged the correct tax, it was just the "can you afford this" pre-check.

Feel free to "hooooooonnnnkkkkkkkkkkk" or whatever you prefer!

I have been running a little experiment on the importance of divs. Granted, the experiment got $100m in VC to start off with, but "divs aren't important" anons are actually correct. Very correct. With a wallet full of fucking Coco you can still climb like crazy if you trade properly.
Do you know what we really need? Progressive taxation! In all seriousness, the people suggesting lower or removed taxes for players below a certain rank are correct. Being able to climb as a poor without having to check +4.5% to break even or potentially shoot oneself in the foot by multicoining without realizing it's $$$ would be very beneficial.

If you want to know why, it's indirectly because of funds. If you look at past adjustments, their averages are almost always negative compared to closing prices. The reason why is because the actual numbers of the adjustment normally would trend towards a value much lower than the current market price, but due to money spawned out of nowhere from dividends and trading the players always massively pumped the market up during the day, even on ridiculously overpriced coins ($HOLO, anyone?).
Well, right now, funds trade at 1/20th of the volatility and handle a lot of liquid that rich players would normally use to buy coins above average price, chasing ROI% on dividends. This grinds the pump to a halt, and so the adjustments slowly "correct" the market to the values the adjustment formula trends towards for specific parameters like views, subs, etc.

At least, that's how I see it. I might be very wrong, since I haven't checked the data on this, but it's what would make immediate sense to me.

No, this is probably accurate. I haven't gotten to check the Fund data, but market movements since fund release have been showing that more coins are being bought over pre-adjustment very frequently, while selling from green to below pre-adjustment has all but gone extinct.
Coin hoarding moved to funds. Individual players seem to be willing to trade more.

Just pushed a few things. First, removed the rainbow bar for the male event at the top of the page as well as the rainbows on the leaderboard. Secondly, fixed the bug in the fund autotrader that wouldn't allow buys to go through. Big thank you to trial dev for locating the source of the issue. Also, if you have time, there are some new polls on things we can tweak numerically with the mechanics just to see how people feel about what the market is doing, please answer to the best of your ability. go to nasfaq.biz/polls

Ok then here my advice to any new player who's reading this thread/post.
Get your networth up to roughly 15-20million, this should allow you to sell all your assets and have enough left over to buy the fund license, and then have enough money to actually make a fund, then just use the absolute bare minimum amount of reps for internal fund trades.
Enjoy quadrupling(Maybe more?!?!) your networth within a week.

Some Aki fund trivia:
61K Aki shares were sold yesterday after her $17,614 adjustment, funds were responsible for 50K of these sales
That's a bit less than her $18,2K adjustment on the 30th of July, where 78K of her shares were sold overall, with 66K funds shares sold. In general, funds are buying less Aki during her downward adjustments compared to two weeks ago

Hello divegrass faggots. We need a second kit this time around. Picrel is our current one. My current ideas are either a) rainbow because nasfag (and the homo banner) b) black/orange like the halloween theme (which is the best theme). Or maybe just replace all the green with red, that's also on theme.

I understand that pumping should affect coin price, but consecutive infusion of 0 stats should also severely affect the coin too right?

>> No.30539784

>>30539571
Adjustments are based on two major brackets:
>Today's stats (views & subs) in relation to yesterday's stats
>Today's stats in relation to the stats from this time last week
When a channel flatlines, this results in an initial dip (as views/subs nosedive and taper down), but after that the stats are persistently 0, so the system says "don't make any adjustment, because nothing has changed with the channel stats".
In theory, Coco/Rushia/Civia could still adjust down heavily if they lost a bunch of subs, but unless Susan goes on a murder spree that's unlikely.

>> No.30540234

makes sense but it feels wrong. that system effectively makes dead coins a great stable coins. Do you guys want this kind of system? I assume the people who pumped her to heavens would want to retain her price.

>> No.30540454

>>30540234
You see, since dividends aren't tied to coin price but rather channel performance, those deadcoins are stablecoins that generally aren't worth holding. The person who pumped Rushia to heavens is now soullessly mass-selling her to buy funds. Others have kept their Rushia numbers the same as a memorial, despite the objectively best play being selling her down to 0 to re-invest elsewhere.

>This system effectively makes dead coins great stable coins.
As well as coins on extended hiatuses, or coins belonging to chuubas that are prone to tummy hort and the like. What's more is when said people return, or have a big event, they experience a massive spike, which is much larger than more consistent streamers. If Koyori celebrates a big event, she might get a 10~20% increase. If Ayame or Shion streams AT ALL she is likely to get a 20% increase minimum.
>Do you guys want this kind of system?
For daily market adjustments it makes sense, but for dividends it's laughably stupid of a system. Dividend performance should be based on actually performing.

>>30540309
I'm aware of the special measures for Civia/Rushia, but I theorize that even those would experience a noticeable dip if they suddenly lost half of their subs. If the special measures prevent that, then maybe they shouldn't.
>;)

>> No.30541358

I guess a dollar price is too OP when they still have divs. But what's the mindset that we should have in dealing/balancing dead coins? Do we have to make sure that they stay shitty? I know just letting it crash to $1 would lead to an unimaginable pump and dump/div stack but is that really so bad? If yes, maybe capping the price is the way to go?

>> No.30541560

>>30541358
I think deadcoins are fine as they are. They are completely unviable for trading or dividends. The only way to make money with them was an inflation pump, but the devs clearly intervened to stop it.

>> No.30541626

>>30541358
Letting actually 100% dead coins just be purely player-driven in market price is fine, so long as their dividends are similarly dead.

>> No.30541671

>>30541358
Now that i think about it more, a coin resetting to a dollar everyday could be fun, we'll go back to the good ol days of looking at the activity log to see if people are already dumping or still pumping. Hah

they don't care any more, if they were going to sell rushia they would have sold her by now, and she doesn't give shit for divs. I just dislike the system because it means chuubas that stream every day are low in price but chuubas that stream irregularly with similar views always cost more than they should IMO. Ayame who hasn't streamed in 58 days should not cost more than Pekora does right now, it is a serious flaw.

That's somewhat unworkable, with the cracks, no transparency, etc. You're the second person to ask me, pls gib something that actually works.

I tried it with the closest element in PESMASTER and now they just look like the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The issue was moreso having a suitable arrow. https://clipground.com/images/recession-clipart-5.jpg
The second issue is there doesn't appear to be a way to make a custom "Base design" or "Graphic" element, only a custom Logo what this is or pattern.

Consider Green Day/Black Theme, Red Day/White Theme, and maybe Halloween theme or the classic kit.

Which one? Been playing with white and red a lot lately.
>Green Day/Black Theme
Once I know that making this will be easy.
>Halloween theme or the classic kit
The Halloween theme is basically an orange recolor of the classic kit and would make a perfect 3rd kit. >>30578733 >>30579028

I was thinking of having this design as the red day >>30596288 and the green day is just color-swapped and with the pattern rotated so it goes up.

And it's not perfect since the pattern up top seems to be shirt only, but the shorts can get pretty close with some clever masking.

It might depend on the color scheme of our opponents. There are left half friendly pattern options if you don't want the green/red ones to be identical.

>> No.30598991

I kind of like the idea of the patterns being identical with switched colors, as if our players wear however the market behaved on said day.
Just make it 50/50 between Green/Red.
