We can define "least hated" by analyzing the following criteria:


> Small or non-existent Anti community
> No noticeable or long-lasting "Yabs" on record
> Unknown on non-controversial PL
> Considered to be a net-neutral to net-positive influence on the larger VTuber community


Please be sure to keep personal bias and subjective opinion on things like quality of entretainment, technology, VTuber model, etc. out of the equation and stick to evidence instead.

She was working her hardest ever to produce Watame no Uta, a high-effort daily show she premiered at 5:30am, right before the similarly produced AsaCoco.
All that work didn't translate to measurable results in terms of numbers. She had one conversation about it, live on stream and decided to keep doing the daily show.
When AsaCoco stopped the daily grind, she kept doing Wata no Uta on a weekly basis. Eventually it stopped, and then the COVID golden era happened.
As a top 1% vtuber, sheep brought the show back for a few months. She announced a final episode. The last premiere was watchalong-ed on stream and had her in tears when Coco spoke and said that AsaCoco was over and Wata no Uta was over. Coco had already told everyone she was graduating, we didn't know.

Most JPs with few exceptions are generally inoffensive. Simply not understanding the language is part of this perception in en audiences, but of course is not the only reason and there are more objective factors as well.

Pretty much every EN talent in every big outfit attracts a share of schizos and antis, though there are some exceptions. In holoen most people get along with Mumei, while in nijien Selen is also someone who doesn't really breed drama.

I think 'size to hate ratio' is another factor to consider. For example, Gura is the biggest figure this side of the Pacific in vtubing, and thus in absolute terms you will also see a lot of shitposting and arguing involving her as a topic; but at the sae rate, she is also a lot better at managing her fame and opsec than many other en girls, but the level of static is not nearly as great as it could *potentially* be.

On that note, something else to consider is that the worst possible streamers in the world, never get notable enough to be in a conversation in the first place. There is a certain kind of 'sweet spot' when it comes to controversy, where you have to be good enough to get yourself into the picture in the first place, while being divisive in other ways. Cases that are totally unambiguous or inarguable likewise don't occasion argument. Id est, it is precisely those situations where there are redeeming qualities or extenuating circumstances, where a cursory look would only see things going one way or another, that in turn attract the greatest energies of disputation.

2 year Membersheep here. I remember when that happened and she was still very distraught and choked up. I don't think it's right to say she didn't cry for Coco. Watame didn't cry on Coco's graduation stream, but the only reason for this was because she wrote out her letter to Coco, because she didn't think she could keep it together, doing it live. Coco cried. Watame streamed at her normal time after Coco's graduation, but when she greeted us, one of the Watamates noticed her voice sounded hoarse. Watame saw that then broke down crying, telling us that she had been crying before the stream but wanted to put on a happy face for us. She spent the next 30 minutes as a bawling mess, but by the end of the stream we cheered her up to her normal self.

Living through this made me feel like it was all a scam when I couldn't understand what was happening and what made her sad.
When a friend or family member is sad they would usually tell you why, but in this case she was forced to hid it by management which warped the illusion of being a family.
Then when the announcement happened everything broke for me and I couldn't see Hololive the same way as before.
She stopped her Watame no Uta when Coco graduated.
It was the end of an era and the start of great suffering.

She seems to be doing better right now and to be happier.
Maybe she found the courage to change her future a bit but I don't know what caused this change.
The reason she is trying to please everyone would be because of low self esteem and would mean she still isn't over her traumatic past.

I hope she founds the will to revisit her past in that case.
Maybe she is satisfied with her current life, but she can reach greater heights without her current mindset limitations.
