The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

Might be able to expand your audience to an dual audience of English speaking people who are trying to learn Spanish and an audience of Spanish speakers who are trying to learn English. Not saying it would appeal to me necessarily but it could be a valuable niche, who knows.

I have, however, the only spics that showed up to my streams when i wasn't on hiatus are some friends from the /esp/cord (Different server from the /asp/cord) that can speak english, and i'd assume don't want to disrupt the flow of the stream by making me speak two languages. I also don't really advertise the fact i speak Spanish outside of one of my rules being "English and Spanish only" and the obligatory "Speak Spanish for a minute" redeem. I've also considered Spanish teaching collabs with at least two people, but that will probably wait until late november/early december when the school year finishes

I'm not sure if you have seen pikamee stream but basically her formula is she says one sentence in English, and then basically the same exact sentence in Japanese. It might be less interesting for you personally, but it's really nice for people trying to learn either language. And you can do this just playing games or telling stories or whatever you normally do.

The only real disgusting accent everyone hates is super thick Indian accent like you hear in call centers.
Most accents can work into a buff as long as you don't slur words, have proper pronunciation, accentuation and change your voice a little.
Speaking a bit slower helps for ESLs, just don't try to speak at 100 miles per hours if your accent is too thick or you have troubles with pronunciation.

Watch more content in American English like Youtube videos, movies, podcasts, whatever, and memorize the pronunciation of words.
Speak slower, go word by word if you have to instead of sentences, just to start practicing and work slowly.
Get some friends to speak English regularly. Videogames, anime discussion clubs, book clubs, whatever, something to get you talking to people regularly. There's something called Toastmasters Club that you could join, it's an ESL group that hosts weekly meetings to improve their speaking skills with members doing presentations on a topic and discussing it with everyone. Most people won't mind if you ask them to correct you when you mispronounce something or start speaking too quick.

Sure. I started out introducing myself, talked about my different goals as a vtuber, and named a handful of the goals and why I have them. I mentioned my strengths as a vtuber, and showed some clips from my streams that show off these strengths. Then I showed one of my talents in action. I also recommend using a model for this, even if it's just a free one from nizima or in Vtube studio. You can use a room background that you find online and record it in OBS. Definitely have an idea of the character you want to be and convey while recording the audition.

The best thing i have done, aside from building the cage was moving my PC away from the mic. It's such a simple thing, but reducing ambient noise is one of the key steps to keep the noise floor down. It's suffering, but i stream without an AC and just blast it during a 10 minute break if it get's too bad.

For people who want to get rid of their keyboard noise, you can't really do that in post, but you can physically put a barrier in-between the keyboard and the mic. The only way to really do that is having one of those shitty desks with a keyboard tray, which i would recommend to nobody, BUT if it's that important to you there is that option. Also get a quieter keyboard, i have never had one with mechanical switches and i'm gaming just fine.

All soundproofing does is reduce reverb which in the first place is only really bad if you are streaming from a large empty room. Most rooms people live in and stream from are small where the soundproofing wouldn't do much to begin with.

Okay... I'll bite, because everything is better than focusing on work right now. And i have gotten addicted to review chuubas since the tuesday incident.


channel / etc: does the bare minimum, which is ok. tiktok and instagram filled with XIV stuff, don't see that doing anything but i'll get to that later. there's a youtube but nothing much on there. you keep most vods on twitch so at least it's accessible through that.

design / model: the model is okay. i think it's a little too derpy, could benefit from better rigging but its fine all things considered. it does its job. aside from a starting soon screen there isn't much else in terms of design, there's no real theming which isn't a requirement i'm just pointing out that there is none.

audio / voice: the voice is okay, seems a little bit mellow which is fine, but personally i'd probably find it grating after a while. thankfully she doesn't talk much. in many cases the audio is way too loud, i can barely hear you. Try recording yourself before every stream, and test your game audio by doing the loudest thing possible and then see if you are still audible because often times you weren't.

content: I'll say this right now. Despite the fact that FFXIV is the most popular mmo at the moment, the most popular streamer gets like a thousand CCV at most (i think it's xenosys?). This game is incredibly boring to watch, as are most other mmo's if you don't put a spin on it. I highly doubt there's any possibility to make it anywhere with XIV content. Even if it is your comfort game, I would try to re-evaluate how entertaining it is to watch. i'm not the type of person that says "don't stream x, better stream y", but with XIV i have yet to see an entertaining stream (asmon doesn't count i'm sorry). I think other games might get you out of your shell more and maybe even help you slipping more into a streamer role!

I'll put you in D because you don't commit any crimes, and you try to put effort into at least creating content, just the content you choose to show is a heavy debuff on top of the fact you have yet to discover a personality / brand / gimmick to portrait on your stream. Try to ask yourself what people would come to you for, instead of anyone else. And if you iron out the wonky audio levels at times you at least have a decent baseline. Still none of it as of now makes me interested in checking you out further. I'm guessing it isn't actually you posting this, but i wanted to kill some time.
