The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

I mean the intro could be good just pull back on some of the effects, same with the rest of the video.
If you do zoom ins try not to zoom in on the model because your model is pretty basic.

that kind of editing works with cam shit because you can be expressive but your model isn't that expressive. For that I'd recommend just editing a shitpost/image meme and using that instead.
Not only does it let you emote with your character but it also gives you memes you can give out to your community and is funnier.

Besides that the video is pretty high quality and very watchable, you sound energetic at good intervals. Better quality mic could make it a lot better.

Also personal taste but I hate rainbow colored text, I think you should either default to the same kind of text the game use or have a consistent text color.

But again those are my thoughts on this video in particular.

I'm surprised you're saying the video needs less effects, because I see how much happens in something like a Max0r video and I feel like what I make is lacking.
The mic quality is shit because the added in music sounded awful with the game music behind it, so I had to isolate my vocals from the VOD which tanks how good my mic sounds.
Thank you very much for your advice, I know the rigging on my model isn't very good, so I'm glad someone told me that I could just use something in it's place for videos.

This is more than enough to stream stuff at med/high settings. Of course you'd need to play around with your setting in OBS and the individual games to make sure everything works, but what you have shouldn't provide any major limitations.

Mostly I meant in the intro, with the other assassin's the effect you used on the BG and the text looked weird and clash a bit. I think a solid background for the assassins with their saturated primary color would've had a cleaner more consistent effect.
I don't watch any of Max0r's stuff but from what I've seen of this one video his editing is a lot more frenetic and plays with full shifts and throwing images and skits at you, with a sort of prevailing skit(like your number counter).
Also the texts ENTIRE fonts change not the weird outline only thing.

Again not trying to shit on you, your editing was good and your voice and energy are great. If you want to try for Max0r's editing I'd advise taking one of his videos, studying them like HARD breaking it down and then try recreating the editing style.
And use whatever you glean from that as a base and branch out from there.

Again not to shit on your model but using memes or pictures is objectively cheaper than fucking with rigging.

Thanks for the compliments! The person who rigged my model only did one rig before mine, and it was the first draft of my model before he scrapped it all and redid it.
I could ask him to try again or at least attempt to get more expressions out of it but I'm not so sure he's developed the skillset to really accomplish that yet.

It's hard to give advice since I'm not a video editor or even much of a clip watcher, and I guess my takeaways are going to come down to personal preference, but regardless:

A model is better than no model, so if you don't hate it, use it. This early on in your career you don't have to worry about keeping your brand consistent so if you want to change it entirely you're free to do so with little repercussion.

I think first of all you have to be sure to have all the files you need so that you actually can. Not all riggers will give you all of their work files. Otherwise you would pretty much have to do it from scratch with your original .psd files. Secondly I think some riggers wont work on other people's stuff at all, especially if your original rigger isnt ok with it. I think there are people out there that will do it or help you out though.

My rigger is a close friend, he has already given me all the files and has zero care if I hand them to somebody else given he did his work for free as a fun personal project.

For the earliest streams, I would say a png is more than enough.
Much better(but more taxing) is if you have a png with multiple expressions/poses etc. and you switch between them every 20-30 seconds, which basically gives you a bootleg version of Live2D while also training you to switch expressions quickly once you actually get your Live2D.

Celebrations should scale exponentially with number, and inversely with time spent to get there.
If you streamed for 3 months and got to 100 subs, celebrate it!
After that, the ideal is 500,1k, then 2k, 3k etc. but if you're growing slowly, then once every 3 months you can do a celebration/endurance for a quick boost, even with multiples of 500 (500,1000,1500 etc).
Multiples of 250 is also fine if your growth is super slow (just remember the time gap) but that's about the lower limit.
Going for celebrations of 100s is not something to recommend. Your first 100 is a milestone, but every 100 afterwards should ideally be treated as "expected" until 500 or 1000. The audience will also catch on to it.

You'd want a noise gate for this, but depending on what kind of AC it is the frequency can be different. The reaplugs VST's for OBS can help a lot there, pic rel is the settings for the noise gate you can see what kind of frequencies are the highest and then adjust accordingly. You can do this with the noise gate or use EQ but noise gate would be overall a little more effective.

You are going to lose some of your voice depth either way, but it's better than loud ambient noise in some cases. Definitely recommend this noise gate, i keep using even with my SM7B, although i have it set to really really non-aggressive settings so it pretty much doesn't impact my voice. (because i already have a very quiet environment thanks to my cage)

No, a noise gate is actually a noise removal algorithm. If you look at the pic above again, the red line is what it "calculated" to be my ambient noise and that is what it's going to shave off. (meaning it's going to reduce the volume of the specific frequency by the amount of the red line).
