the real strengths of Nasu's writing are his likeable, interesting characters and unmatched ability to create an incredible sense of atmosphere.
Instead everyone just focuses on the the servants, waifu wars and the giant red herring that is the holy grail war and then they ignore all the good and interesting stuff.
The worst part is that when Urobuchi wrote Zero, he also completely missed the point when he turned every character into a mouth piece for his high school level philosophy and turned Saber into a parody of herself just so that she can get schooled by the ultimate edgelord manchild.
And that dozens of thousands gobbled that up like it was a work of genius.
