Yeah, in layman's terms, steroids & antihistamines like medicines are usually given if the doctor isn't very sure what the cause of the allergy/the patient didn't take the allergy test, which I believe the case for Ame.
And yes, antihistamines stay longer in your body & will make you super drowsy after the effect of the steroids gone. But I think she isn't allowed to take that many antihistamines & steroids at home, so her sleeping time shouldn't be that long.

I don't really understand what she means. They will be using a World of Darkness ruleset, im not quite sure what edition or if it's oWoD or nWoD. Theres roleplaying like in D&D but its more theater of mind focused, not visual. Of course you could use visual things still but its still more about talking than action usually. In WoD the "Dungeon Master" is called the Storyteller. In the edition I played it used a D10 system, but I'm thinking nWoD uses it too. You get an amount of points that you put into skills like Guns, Stealth, Occult, Intimidation etc. When the ST asks for a roll they will give a difficulty level and you need to roll enough successes on your roll (that number or up) to succeed. Example: ST asks for a dexterity + stealth roll, you add the amount of dots in each of those and thats the amount of dice you get. The difficulty is 6, and your dexterity is 3 and stealth is 2 so you get 5 dice to roll. You roll with 3 dice above the threshold so you succeed. 1s are fumbles and 10s are crits. 1s take away your success rolls, starting with the 10s. If you are left with 10s or 1s after the subtractions then you either crit or crit fail.

My guess as to how it'll work is she'll read whatever she feels comfortable reading that day depending on her mood and however many she has to scroll through (she may read more at times than at other times), but this was obviously done to remove the expectation that every single name (repeats included) would be thanked if you superchatted. That's the important takeaway to me and that's ultimately a good thing, and she'll have more fun if that obligation isn't hanging over her head.

The best I can articulate my perspective is that 8 hour superchat readings are unhealthy for everyone involved. The length has largely ballooned because Ame wants to go on tangents, but seems to feel like she can't or else she'll have a glut of messages to thank, largely because she apparently made the promise to thank every message, which was never going to be sustainable. This is further exacerbated by ARSfags and other shitty messages from oversharers and those that still haven't gotten the message that vtubers aren't therapists. As a result, this results in what is essentially a chore that's just going to get put off or slacked upon as shown by her turning SCs off when it's not necessary, which obviously still isn't working because there are an infinite number of attention whores trying to abuse that "promise" because of their sick need to force $0.2 thank-yous from a girl.

yeah, i think the idea of filtering out attention whores is the main argument behind people rn so anyone who just wants questions read or maybe some interaction feel guilty (such as myself). I'll also still support either way but I'm definitely having to cut back and think even more then I already do about messages if I want to anticipate some response. on the bright side, I suppose this new level of consideration will help most people save money and cut down hours of sc reading. Hopefully Ame will tighten up everything in the future

The one criticism I have for Ame is the way she postpones stuff until the next week, she always does that.
All the girls delay or cancel streams, this week Kiara and Mori also did, and I don't blame her these past few weeks given the circunstances, but this Minecraft stream she's not doing, for example, will only happen next week, effectively taking a slot of another possible stream.

Another reason I guess I shouldn't be so "paranoid" as you say is because I can't control it even though my messages are always genuine and full of content. Sucks that Ame choose a more unorthodox roundabout method instead of something more finite like reading at the end of each stream but as I've told many others here, we all find common ground in the fact that it's a step towards healthy streaming, living and watching for everyone
