now I'm wondering if the removals all happened at the same time. the reasoning wouldn't seem to make much sense from Sana's POV for the stuff she left up unless she was being told to remove them by someone else.

if she hated Holoscopes she'd remove all of them including the first one (which was the same quality as the deserted island and classical music videos). if she wanted to remove videos where she felt embarrassed or talked about too much personal stuff she'd remove the Potato video, Sana Landing return from break where "fuck you" came from, and maybe even pull the Yomawari playthrough. if it was just about cleaning up "junk" content on the channel she'd also prune some of the member posts linking to unarchived videos. she put a lot of work into some of those Holoscopes so it's not like they were a low bar for her either.

the choices make it seem like she was just handed a random kill-list she had to follow. I'd like to imagine this is a sign that management is whipping her channel back into shape, but the choices don't seem to represent that either.

It does for Cover because Cover does a lot for marketing and promoting their talents, and particularly as a group. If they keep Sana on they have to make a 3D model for her to go with the rest of Council, they have to make merch and such for her to go with the rest of Council, they have to try and include her in events. Sana isn't even a good singer but she still got an original song since the rest of Council did too. They can't just leave her out of these things because that'd come across as unfair to her and her fans would be upset about it. And imagine how bad anything to do with 3D would be if she's still injured at that point.

More than anything it's a problem of Sana's health and other job being incompatible with what Cover wants to do. If she was in a group like Nijisanji JP instead it probably wouldn't matter at all. It sucks but it is what it is.

Back pain is the kind of thing you will never understand how debilitating it is until you have it. Intellectually you can understand why but there isn't a feeling of helplessness like suddenly not being able to walk and you have no way to resolve it but to hope the pain stops. You can't "know" that until you're in it.

So much of life and being able to strive and put effort into things is dependent on having enough morale to insulate you from being discouraged by setbacks. If your morale (and chronic pain and/or physical debilitation is a very heavy morale drain) is at 0 even small defeats that a person wouldn't even really notice can take all of the hope you have away from you.

I work too much to ever be able to catch streams but Sana was my favorite EN, I love the Aussie Gal vibe with the super sweet and gentle personality. I wish there was more I could have done to support her and truly hope that graduating will be a benefit to her quality of life, whether it was her idea or something she was forced into I genuinely hope it proves to be a blessing.
