I've been thinking of modding SD Gundam Cross Rays to replace the custom pilots with the HoloEN girls. All it'd take would be drawing a full-body shot for each, drawing a simple face cut-in with simple mouth flaps (like in pic related). Wouldn't even have to customize the cockpit, since those are in another layer. Finally, ripping and replacing voice lines that would fit the context.

It shouldn't be a complicated project, the main issue is finding the time to get it done.

I've got quite a lot of /m/-related Holo ideas swimming in my mind right now that I want to see through, but I want to hone my drawskill intensively over the next two months before working on them. Still, I'm absolutely getting these done at some point.

In regards to the mod, I'm thinking of releasing some attack exhibition videos before the mod proper, and have been thinking of what Holo would pilot what MS. Some choices are absolutely obvious (Mori in Deathscythe, Kiara in the Phoenix Gundam), but I'm still thinking about the other three. I mean, sure, Gura could always get the Turn A, but I was wondering if there was some AU Aquatic MS that would fit the bill even better. I'm more of an UC guy, so a lot of MSVs for AU shows are kind of unknown to me. And I know Ina likes Unicorn, but sadly that's not in Cross Rays.

If you got any ideas, I'd sure love to hear them.

Not sure what MS are in Cross Ray's but mermaid gundam would be a good fit for Gura as it even has a Trident. Ame you can give her any Gundam with a lot of weapons like heavy arms due to playing a bunch of FPS since there isn't many MS that have time traveling that also fit her dective gimmick. You never know what can happen with an update. I'm a sysadmin for a whole ton of PCs and I get paranoid about every update because stupid things happen all the time. Like you'd think a security patch for a privilege escalation vulnerability would be a pretty benign thing to install, but then you find out it causes your users to BSOD whenever they try to print (yes this happened recently). Video drivers can cause other weird issues like that too. She already always has issues with her capture card so then she'd need to start wondering whether a problem she's experiencing is because of an update or just because the capture card is crap.

it's yet another example of her exercising good IT management judgement even when her understanding of the low-level details of the stuff she's managing is lacking. another example of that was her postponing a karaoke stream (the one that would end up with 120k viewers) based on a youtube outage. that outage would eventually clear up in time for her original stream time, but she was right to postpone it based on the progression of the outage and of the recovery that had already started when she made the abort call.

we get a lot of traffic on this board with people offering very simplistic direct advice about individual components, but it's so rarely connected to any kind of actual production administration strategy for her IT infrastructure. sadly i don't think the people offering these useless suggestions about individual configuration items will ever understand why what they're saying is so irrelevant until they, too, someday have responsibility for production systems.

Yeah, it's better to err on the side of caution, especially considering she isn't incredibly proficient with technology. If something does go wrong her options are pretty much just figuring it out herself with limited understanding, getting help from her genmates if they're available, or cry. I agree with you to some extent, but you need to look at it from the perspective of someone that is not tech savvy, has a semi-complex infrastructure, has deadlines, and an audience of tens of thousands of people. Yeah gura should be testing her geforce drivers in the lab (which is always exactly like production right?) And then submit a change request to the CM board. Once that's passed she can proceed to a phased release to internal teams then eventually the enterprise. This is the way to do it.
