Polka: You get to be co-dependent on keeping track of Polka's mood and troubles, but also her good times and random thoughts for the day. You ride the highs and lows like having a bipolar penfriend. I personally really like her ASMR, though lately they are more just sleepy zatsu, rather than being sensual or anything like that. Since Holodex actually archives the member streams (you know they did a member stream, but can't watch it if you aren't a member) i kinda know that for most members they're kinda sparce (sometimes once per month) and mostly short zatsudans and watchalongs. So it that's your thing or you're really into your oshi go ahead.
I also got by chance gift memberships for Watame, Korone and Ina and i've been a long term member for Ame.
The other kind of updates are short diary entries and updates on what they're doing from time to time. Watame is particularly generous since she not only gives monthly wallpapers (which is a new trend some of them do, the quality is fine but nothing you won't see many times in a month if you check your oshi fan-arts) but also comissions like a serie of 4 comedy yonkomas.

Vouching for anon's appraisal of Towa's, the wallpapers are nice but her memgens streams are unpredictable because she doesn't really schedule streams in advance. If you want bang for your buck in terms of membership stuff do look at her genmates though, the stuff I see that's members only look pretty intimate if that's what you're looking for. The emotional abuse thing isn't a joke fyi, I felt like shit since she skipped June's and the Towa thread was pretty shit because of it as well. She did a twitter space and mengen zatsu already which made up for it for me

For an outsider, it's not. The only thing her membership gives you are emotes, rare sketches she draws, handwritten letters thanking for support or very rare member streams which are part zatsus, part multiplayer games. All of which is an extension of her usual content anyway.

For regulars, you're already part of the cult so it's futile to explain. Buckos tend to throw gifted memberships around so it's easy to trial the membership just by sticking around anyway. Around 95% of chat is green at this point.
