It's obvious that Gura will never be able to have a small, tight-knit community since her fans will follow her wherever she goes, but she's been making content online for so long that it's easier to accept that and continue in that area than to drop it entirely to try and do something else she has less experience, connections or success in. Plus a small dedicated community isn't the only advantageous thing about being a streamer or YouTuber, though some might value it a lot more than others.
By being a large streamer you have more income, connections with other large streamers, more of a chance for backing for other projects, and other benefits, but it's also harder to control what your community is like (it reflects the streamer to a degree, but chat can still act autistic even if the streamer is laid back), way more people read and interpret what you say which can make it a lot easier to get canceled or have rrats spread about you, imposter syndrome and pressure to stream/make content at a certain quality or frequency for the sake of the audience rather than yourself, and it's harder to connect with the larger community (thankfully the member's only streams help with this for Gura). She could try a music career or VA work, though she can already do those through hololive.
HoloCN already graduated bc of their fanbase, so I guess Code Miko would be the next most likely since I could see chat being the reason she ends up moving to a new character. Chat being the reason for graduation would prob be because the vtuber is already a menhera, imposter syndrome or if the community is full retard. Chumbuds can be retarded, but there are definitely other communities that are more retarded or that have gone full retard. Never go full retard.
