This karaoke was a rollercoaster of emotions. Gura started out rough, clearly frustrated with how tired she was, how much she was messing up and how many times her voice gave in, but she soldiered on and her warm-up reps paid off as the stream went along. Rasputin and Holding Out for a Hero were awesome, Fragile was probably the comfiest experience I've ever had in a karaoke, she popped off on Reflection to make up for last time where she couldn't sing it, and wrapped it up with weeb-core kino in Silhouette. Gura truly stops at nothing until she knows everyone had a good time. She was very cute today.

People have been saying that she is popular because of memes or loli design but It'd take more than that to be twice as popular as her genmates dont you think ?

She is charismatic and her personality and subtle humor resonate well with (younger) people. That is the main reason.
She is also gifted with a very pretty and unique voice. I have been watching vtuber since the beginning but all other lolitubes voice are somewhat among the line "faking voice".

For voice uniqueness, I have not yet found another streamer with similar voice (nyanners or lilypichu sound fake though).
For example, Aqua's voice type is moe, but it is quite generic that Yorumi Rena, or Mea and some other vtubers also have it. Or Kiara character voice is also similar to Namirin or Luto as well.

That being said, if you watched her streams, listened the sound posts here and still didn't get it, then she is not your type, I guess.

i mean, she's just trying to get the levels right and on youtube karaoke backing tracks they are all over the place. i don't think she was doing anything particularly wrong. her goal was to get the live mix right during the stream, not to make it easy to deal with later. it was just a lot more often than usual, for a stream about three times as long as usual, and there's all kinds of other weird random shit that kept happening too. i think i am averaging about 30-40 minutes per track at this point. so far, only one of them has been "normal".

the impression i get from her is that she can hear a lot of audio problems much more easily than the general population, but doesn't have a very solid technical background to let her identify and troubleshoot them. i don't want to speculate about how long she's been working with audio, but even after 25 years of it i've still had to discover new tricks in the past couple of months, so it's hard to say that she's slacking or anything like that.

if you're mixing a live show and the levels are very bad, then the thing to do absolutely is to get them right as soon as you can, as smoothly as you can. most of her gain changes are pretty smooth and i can only think of a couple of times ever that she's flicked the fader too hard and had a jarring transition.

I know I've had at least two, which is funny considering I rarely remember dreams myself.
