Exactly. The /real/ reason for polyphasic is similar as the one for BCAA for hard gainers, i.e to trick them into doing a beneficial activity (sleeping/consuming protein) to a degree that allows them to function.

I was raised on documentaries about classical composers and a lot of the time they lived in squalor because their music kept getting stolen and resold without their consent. Then I got online fairly late in life and saw what utter monstrosity a well-intentioned sentiment like "let's maybe not starve creators " had morphed into.
