These situations aren’t even close to comparable.
Holo clips took time to go viral and draw in English speakers which gave them a decent EN fan base before EN.
EN then debuted at the peak of worldwide YouTube and stream watching and Gura had a viral moment from her debut.
She also was already very well known and EN was a completely new market full of people wondering what vtubers are.
Even with all of that it still took time for people to come in and see what was going on, Gura didn’t somehow surpass her debut numbers in the next couple streams and it wasn’t until later that her subs started really taking off.
Yet Salome, in an established market from a company that has had plenty of debuts, somehow has people watching and subbing to her that don’t watch or sub to anyone else all from debut.
No build up, no hype, just 100% from the start.

When her streams end there is very little bump to any other ongoing stream which doesn’t happen with anyone else especially when their streams have large CCV.
Her chatters also have very little overlap with other vtubers, her highest overlap comes from Mito at like 14%.
It’s also hard to believe that if these people were coming from established vtubers that they’d sub to Salome but not the other people they watch.
Nijis that have been active for years have no where near 1 million subs.
Before Salome they only had 2 people that hit that mark.

It's not about immediate migration to other streams when she ends hers, it's about introducing people to vtubers and over time they find new vtubers to watch. I was pulled into vtubers by myth but these days I primarily watch other things which is the whole idea behind the trickle down.
