The old "takamori" dynamic had much lower lows (seriously, go back watch some of the worst old takamori streams to be reminded of how bad and almost physically painful things were at times when Mori was in le tired grumpy bitch mode again and stonewalled/sandbagged Kiara's every conversation attempt), and the few "best" streams they had were always the ones where they dropped the cringe fake ship act and just hung out / talked like normal people / friends with each other.

If "takamori being dead" means we just get more of the latter interactions, and they don't try to force themselves to play-act out a repeat of the failing former interactions, it's a net positive for everyone involved.

I can see how the current "cordial" (normal) dynamic they have may feel a bit awkward ("ex-lovers") to observers who know the full "backstory" from the beginning and think because they're less emotional than they used to be that things must be stiff and stilted between them, but that's just because those observers can't let go of an idealized image of takamori they built up in their head (and was never really as good as they imagined) and project onto them.

Posts about Mori being malicious are always stupid. She is really just a bit dumb, spreads herself too thin and at worst doesn't appreciate what she has sometimes. Mori talks about Kiara a fair amount really and clearly does regret taking her for granted. But a lot of their relationship was about having someone to lean on at the time, and now that's in the past. They'll get on in the same way Ame and Mori get on. Unpopular opinion, but I actually really Kiara's ultra high pitch voice mode that she displays in some Vocaloid covers (yes, Goodbye Sengen is my favorite song of hers, how could you guess?), and I think Kiara's voice is best and has standout qualities when she either goes in ultra high pitch mode or in her lower-than-normal mode (like with some slow ballads). Sub-par at best, terrible at worst. This offcollab wl be fine, just nothing of real note. The biggest issue I have is that it feeds into the schizo Takamori fags and I don't need those retarded artists to jump back onto the ship and stop drawing Kiara solo/with other members because they got crumbs.
Mori herself is fine. Overworks herself to maintain two personas way more than Kiara does, so I'm just waiting for the eventual burnout.
I joined the /mep/ off-collab threads and they were fun, but I'mma skip out on this one.
