I've been on /a/ for many years, collected tons of OC from there, participated myself, talked about seasonal CGDCT, stuff like that.
Got a decent gaming PC in 2017 and did that for quite a while, anime watched went down.
Currently getting back into it but /a/ now is shounen general, the same 3-4 good shows still get threads while most of the new stuff is either Isekai #5043023 or dumb or boring or all of those, the designs aren't new anymore, etc.

Got into VTubers instead and immediately hooked, it's like Cute Girls playing games and doing goofy shit on stream just with thousands of episodes. Lore writes itself (rrats, setting etc.), tons of OC coming from both here and Japan, interesting designs, even some level of interactivity.

Also I learn some more natural japanese which is not pre-scripted with Chuubas.
