The general rule of thumb is Twitch if your content is primarily based on livestreaming and YouTube if your content is primarily pre-recorded and edited.

>Do you think there's an audience for X, Y, Z content?
First, ask yourself if you would watch a streamer of your skill and experience. Second, do a check on social media and look to see if other streamers are already creating similar content. Don't limit yourself to vtubers, include traditional real life streamers to scope out a potential audience.

It's more that I was spending 20 minutes editing a clip, but getting less than 200 views. That means tiktok hadn't figured out where to place me in the algo. On top of that, only getting one or two likes, and the analytics saying people were watching one or two seconds. So I was obviously getting it wrong.

For example, i play fightans, and i found 3 chuubas who are larger than me where i can be active in their twitch chat or discord. Did my first public stream today. It was at short notice, I don't have many followers, I was playing an obscure game, I slipped up with my scenes, my internet dropped out multiple times and I had to troubleshoot my VM on the fly.
Despite all this, the same 18 people stuck with me from start to finish and I had an active chat. I forgot to turn on saving the vod like an idiot but it was janky anyway. I'm feeling really positive for next time. Here's to improving!

Cosplay, ASMR, "lewd" or just generally lascivious content, and Vtubing is no exception. That's not necessarily a bad thing. We are meant to grow and change throughout life. You still have your memories of childhood, after all.
Your role as an adult is to someday pass on the joys of childhood to someone else, whether that's to your own children or through your positive contributions to society, which ultimately improves the lives of other people's children.
