I streamed yesterday with my new sm7b + goxlr combo and after configuring everything i can safely say, it only sounds marginally better than my old one.

If you can configure an USB condenser mic (i had an auna900b) and give it the care it needs (proper sound environment etc.) it can achieve almost the exact same quality. While in recording the noise is noticeably quieter, even with my old mic i didn't need any noise gate to make it unnoticable on stream. I still like the mic characteristics of the sm7b more, because it makes my voice a little bit warmer and more gentle (which was the reason i opted into buying it in the first place), but "quality"-wise it's not gonna make a huge difference for live streaming.

If you are ever on the fence on buying new audio equipment, try to asses first what you are getting it for and if the new stuff is actually going to improve it. For me the mic does exactly what i wanted and while it's a little pricey for what it does (compared to my old setup), i'll be future proof if i ever get into singing.

I am borrowing a computer because my laptop got stolen, and it seems like after the OBS update and generally this PC can't handle OBS, game and a VtubeStudio together anymore. Sounds good to me. Alright, so I had the concept of a "Programmable" vtuber. Essentially, it would be a vtuber that you, the chat, could mold to however you liked. The base "settings" would be a basic friendly personality and probably a simple robot design. By giving feedback to the vtuber, you could change aspects about them. Teach them new words or phrases to use, suggest upgrades to their design, ask for any game you want them to play, ask them to change the way they act, things like that. The more you ask for a certain type of things, the higher a likelihood that the vtuber will act with that in mind of their own accord. Sort of like a chatbot, if that makes sense. It'd take someone who can do acting to pull it off well, though.
For a few examples you could say, teach them to get really angry whenever they die in a game, or have them shout a certain phrase any time they beat a level, or have them play some ancient online card game spin off of star trek that no one but you has ever even heard of. These things would probably be put to a chat vote, allowing everyone to play a part in it.

Realistically, no.
You have no connections, likely no skills (in the relevant area), no backlog of work, and no idea how to fix any of that. You will have nobody watching you to begin with, so even if you turned out to the Chuuban One, with amazing skill... You wouldn't be able to show it off.

That said, there's no single (known) "route to success", because if there was, everyone would follow it and be successful I suppose 'be a corpo' might apply, but that's not going to happen if you aren't a content creator at all.

You might get lucky, but that's not something you can rely on.

Money will help. Buy a top tier model, assets, vocal training, top end PC, launch day games, best webcam/mic for input, and then maybe pay someone to get it all configured.; then buy advertising on multiple platforms.

The design is going in the right direction but I don't think the colors are quite right, I would recommend ditching the red or the violet cause there's too much going on in the area, you could exaggerate the silhouette a bit with the ponytails make them less close to the body, you could also ditch the turquoise completely and stick to different shades of red with purple being the accent color
