Considering the recent mass appeal of cryptocurrency amongst all ages, perhaps a token of some kind could be implemented to serve for straight-to-the-tuber donations? That'd be cool.

The ones that make it can be really well off, and supposedly you don't even need to be that big to make money off of it.
>How will the industry grow moving forward?
Rig prices are getting insane and riggers are booked for months in advance. We're going to see a lot of people making models of their own. It absolutely will keep growing though.
>How will indies survive?
Most of them aren't in this to survive or even make money in the first place. Remember the vast majority of livestreamers are streaming to less than 10 viewers.

Yeah, what about some sort of token that could facilitate grass roots-support amongst fans of vtubers internationally? I think an indirect decoupling from fiat is something highly desirable, and so long as the medium that the vtubers themselves receive is somewhat mainstream, say, a top 10 cryptocurrency for example, this could play both the pragmatic monetary and niche community angles!
This is really cool actually, I think I might develop a token with this in mind, I have some experience with making rugpulls. NFTs, anyone?

VTUBE has been made recently, has a roadmap, comfy wallet distribution and based autismo dev. It will include pretty much every idea throw up around a vtuber coin. Vtuber NFTs, direct donations, vtuber NFT gacha, all that shit. Currently sub 1c, don't miss out.

Money wise, most of them are on barrowed time since they are no better than glorified wage slaves. The really successful ones already makes money regardless if they stream or not. Subs and SC are just meaningless things that numberfags gloat over with no understanding on the business model.

1.New tech
No one is watching this shit for long if the L2D and 3D tech remains stagnant
2. Male vtubers get their shit together
Nijisanji cant be the only agency that gets males right. Other agencies and male indies need to figure this shit out

I don't think that is really as universally applicable as you might think. Take a look for a second at how much her channel made in superchat when she says she doesn't make a living off of that.

Yeah I am just pointing out that the interviewee saying they don't make their living off superchat doesn't make much superchat to begin with. It's kind of obvious? Where as when you have someone pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in superchat there is probably a much higher chance they can make a living off it.

There's a huge difference between those who do it professionally and the indie scene. Those who do it professionally and are sponsored, or even ultra popular quasi-independents who have tons of subscribers etc... do very well.

It seems like streaming overall. There's a niche that does very well and there's a sub-niche of that that is pushed by a management / talent agency sort of thing specifically to market and generate these identities. Then there's a larger group of long term, high quality, popular independents who are few in number but have put a lot of time, money, energy into it and also got lucky to find and keep an audience. The bottom of the pyramid is most people who are just doing it for fun who have a few viewers at most, and those who may want/need to make a living at it but for several reasons haven't been able to do so.

I don't imagine its something that you're going to be able to just start out and say "yep, going to make a lot of money doing this. Its my new profession" fro mthe beginning unless say... you're a voice actress who got picked up by one of these specific management talent agencies or some shit.
