It haf nothing to do with the christmas collab because they had a horse racing collab right after that. This shit didn't start until Marine had a chatting stream with Pekora as the guest. Peko dated Miko's younger brother. They broke up and Peko sees too much of him in Miko so Peko is autistic around her. Miko isn't awkward since the split didn't impact her directly. Makes sense given they were friends before so they probably interacted with each others family a lot. Saying "fan demand is making them hesitant to do it" is always a bullshit excuse, since then you could say that Pekora and Miko would no longer play Minecraft since its like their most demanded game. The simple fact is one or both have to not like it to stop, what caused the dislike to happen when they were supposedly best of friends and you even had Pekora say stuff like Miko's her partner when a viewer asked her of her thoughts on gen 3 being couples with each other besides her.

TakaMori and NoeFlare expressed wanting the shippers to tone down but would still collab with each other here and there even if its not as much as before and would still bring each other up if the situation calls for it instead of just ignoring any mention. Know whats funny about this thread? while the 3 have been gone I've been catching up on good ol' PekoMiko and MiComet. And that Minecraft stream where everyone claimed PekoMiko died after the Mario party Collab, was only awkward as fuck if you just watched from Pekos stream. She literally turns herself down on her end but is normal volume on Miko's side and she's talking to them and it's not weird. If we wanted to go for more awkward it'd be the actual festival when on both streams during the archery they end up keeping eachother in screen and both at a point follow each other with their view. Also the part when Peko and Towa go-to the haunted house Peko only addresses Suisei about it and on the sign Miko wrote that says I'll never forgive you Towa goes " it's about you Peko-chan".
